  1. What to make of all of this? Anyone who knows anything else about this situation?? My take is that they will give Adrian Peterson 10-15 touches the first start until they feel 100% confident in his recovery.. so that they don't over work him... about 10-15 touches for Toby Gerrhart give or take a few.. and 5-10 extra touches for Percy Harvin as well thoughts?

Who scores first? Julio Jones or Mark Ingram

Yea I agree... and against the Bears he had 5 receptions for 71 yards.. and did just as good as Roddy White did against the Eagles sick secondary... I think he blows up this week.. they have been trying to get the ball to him a ton because he is a "playmaker"

Carolina Panthers #2 in Total Offense?

yea i am sure the running game will get better, and thanks Captain Obvious for the bold statements... Cam Newton will obviously not continue to be the leading rusher on the team, they just weren't able to run very well the first two games because like i said they were stacking 8 in the box... and when the RB's start running better... let me ask you this... wouldn't that make the offense better?? how on earth does that make the offense worse???

Carolina Panthers #2 in Total Offense?

I completely disagree with this... Cam Newton is the sole reason the offense has been this good, sure he will not throw 400 yards ever game that is a given..... they have run the ball and will get better as the season goes on...they have also won the time of possession battle in both games thus far Week 1 Time Of Pos. Carolina 32:47 27 rush, 37 pass; Arizona 27:13 25 rush, 27 pass Week 2 Time Of Pos. Carolina 32:34 21 rush, 46 pass Green Bay 27:26 21 rush, 30 pass Carolina has won the time of posession battle by over 5 minutes in each of the first two games. Carolina has more rushing attemtps than their opponents. Cam moving the ball keeps the clock moving, two yard run plays don't.. and I don't see their philosophy changing too much... we all knew Green Bay was going to intercept him a couple of times, and plus i am sure the Panthers were aware that beating Green Bay was a long shot anyways... and they were playing from behind for most of the game I think vs the Jags this week we will continue to see a very similar offensive game plan...when you are moving the ball that well you really do not start changing things, especially if you are running a pretty balanced offense and are winning the possession battle... not to mention they have had to put the ball in his hands because the running game hasn't been effective at all because teams are stacking 8 in the box.. what is better to run the ball up the middle for 2 yards, or throw the ball with your QB who can make plays?? until defenses give them something different they will continue to throw the ball, and from Cam has shown he can do, why would they get away from big passing plays even when they run the ball a little bit more??? The biggest thing the Panthers need to do is get a better defense...as long as they get behind all year they will continue to throw that much
  5. could you have ever have guessed that one?? lol ... i know they will most likely come back down to earth... but damn you have to sit back and say WOW!...because of one guy this team is completely different on offense. 2nd only to the ridiculous New England Patriots who are nearly 100 yards ahead of everyone else.. and i find it somehow ironic that after some of San Diego's coaching staff went to the Panthers they are sitting right above the Chargers themselves in total offense... that ladies and gentleman is why the QB is the most important position in football... and leaves the question for the day.. with Carolina's new "Toy" in Cam Newton.. revamped offense with the additions of Shockey/Olsen/Nanee.. and a new coaching staff that has taken a lot of San Diego's offensive/defensive mindset with them..... is it realistic to believe that the Panthers can finish in the top 10??

    Dexter McCluster

THIS the guy simply has value because you can put him as a WR on your fantasy roster... plus there is the potential that he becomes pretty fantasy relevant getting around 10-15 touches per game with Charles out... and like mentioned above adds value if your league rewards points for return yards as well

    Cam Newton vs. Packers

70 plus yds on the first drive and a TD so much for the debate

Who is starting Cam Newton this week?

I am starting him over Josh Freeman vs Minnesota... four reasons i am doing this 1. I have Josh Freeman vs Minnesota... and honestly that doesn't excite me..it really isn't that much better of a match-up... he was boring to watch last week.. and I feel like Cam Newton has a lot more weapons on offense than Freeman does 2. I am going to the Panthers vs. Packers game so needless to say, that makes it exciting.. and he was so much fun to watch last week 3. I drafted him with confidence unlike many in the 13th round in both of my drafts... I thought about starting him last week, and i decided to take the safe approach and it cost me 20 points...and the idea of starting him vs Green Bay is "ballzy" I know this.. and I want to see what this guy is made of this week... if he does well this week.. not only will everyone be talking about him, but he will be a must-start over a lot of QB's in the league in FF because of his ability to run.. so why not find out now when i have mediocre Josh Freeman 4. The rest of my team has great match-ups and i feel like i can afford a dud from Cam Newton... plus I know regardless of how well he passes the ball he is going to run when he is under pressure.. and I have a feeling that he will break off a big run while i am at the stadium watching not to mention he just said this on ESPN... and I think he is handling the pressure of this game very well... Cam said "he's goes into each game being coachable, and he knows that the great players show up when their team needs them" so why not?!?! Plus this is pretty interesting...
  9. On ESPN NFL Live.. they just said that Amendola is trying to play this Sunday, and is waiting for a Doctor to tell him "NO!".... anyone have any insight into this??

    I want Tebow! Orton Sucks!

I have to agree with Collinsworth... I was never a Gators fan, but Tebow is a gamer... he will never practice well because practice doesn't count... when the game starts though, he is the type of guy that gets fired up and starts playing his heart out and he is a winner... he will get an opportunity at some point, whether it is through a trade or something.. and when he does.. I truly believe the Broncos will be like "Why did we never play this guy?"

Cam Newton... Let's take a closer look

Thanks KSB... I really think the guy has all the tools to be a Great QB in this league.. and definitely is fantasy relevant this year.. as he proved in Week 1 Now the real challenge will be to see how he does vs Green Bay this weekend.. with a Great Defensive Coordinator and one of the Top Defenses in the league.. I am going to the game.. Should be a lot of fun!! I'll say this too.. the guy was one of the most exciting QB's I have ever watched.. when he was in the game everyone was "Glued" to the television.. because you didn't know what he was going to do... and he threw an absolute beautiful deep ball 5 or 6 times ... was threading the needle all game, and made a lot of "Mature" QB decisions... it was almost unreal to watch... not to mention about 3 or 4 times he was an ankle tackle away from breaking off a 20-40 yard run... If anyone has NFL network.. i would definitely recommend watching the game to see it for yourself when they replay it

    My Randy Moss prediction

Yea I am sure that is what Revis thinks too after Moss burned him with a one handed catch for 40yds... i am sure that is exactly what he said.. because he apparently is in the "prime" of his career so that would make a lot of sense You don't lose speed like Randy Moss has in a year...he is still faster than the majority of players in this league.. when it comes to running a Fly route... and still an incredible Redzone target with amazing hands... in other words.. still VERY USEFUL to a team in the playoff hunt...

    Chicago WR's

Earl Bennett is the guy this year.. why does this question keep coming up?? The Slot receiver in Martz offense is arguably the most important....and Martz still plans to use him outside.. the slot receiver in that offense is the go to guy on 3rd down passing plays... again also the guy Cutler trusts most, who has learned the offense better than anyone besides Cutler.. and Martz has gone on record multiple times saying "Earl Bennett will be getting the ball a lot more next season" “We didn’t throw it to him enough. That will be remedied. He will figure in a much larger role than he did last year. He came to us late. He was injured. I wasn’t really sure where he was with all the stuff. But he established himself as a guy who needs to get a lot more balls than he did. He’s extremely reliable. I know Jay feels comfortable with him in the slot doing some of those things,. But he should be able to play outside for us as well.” - Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz on Earl Bennett Read old forum post about Earl Bennett http://forums.footba... and Great Article http://mattwaldmanrs...r-earl-bennett/
