To start a thread on its own for Disturbed signing a song everyone who appreciates music should know as a true classic, I just kinda thought it was meh. What bugged me was that he called himself Simon and the other guy Garfunkel, but he sang the Garfunkel melody (down an octave) while the other guy sang the Simon harmony. Sorta.

 

But hey, it is a classic song and I appreciate attempts to re-interpret such songs.

I haven't heard as many as you have, I'm sure, but when the song "Down With the Sickness" came out, I was like...OK decent song, but nothing to get totally excited about.

The song that really got me into them came much later with "The Night"

 

Just loved the flow of the song.

 

After I heard that, I started remembering all of their early covers..especially Land of Confusion

Forgot about them for a few years and then they came out with the current one Immortalized) which has Sound of Silence that I instantly fell in love with, and another little diddy named "The Light" that for me, is quite possibly the most inspirational song and video that I've ever heard / seen in my life. Fuckin goosebumps for me.
