Buck Allen Outlook ROS?

Recommended Posts

What do you all think Allen's outlook rest of the way is? Even when West is back 100% do you think Allen gets enough work to retain at least RB2 value rest of the way?

RB2 is reasonable given the volume he can get. It also wouldn't be surprising if he got moth balled once Woodhead comes back. I might try to trade him when he is near peak value.

Wow tough question.

I'm not so sure if I can trust him being a rb2.

But I guess if he keeps the job he could be.

I'm guessing more of a rb3.

Can't trust him for anything more than a flex

Woodhead will be back, Collins looks solid, West has been steady

West is barely average and already dinged up. Woodhead is a situational player and already dinged up. Allen has a very good opportunity here to become a weekly 15-20 touch guy.

you must be an Allen owner

Allen has had 3 years to separate himself and become the guy. They didn't like him so much, they signed Woodhead to fill the best role Allen could do

West had 4.3 ypc last year as a 1000 yard rusher, and is their 1st and 2nd down guy.

Allen is averaging 3.8 YPC for his career.

Allen is a solid fantasy guy right now, but lets not get carried away

In what league did T.West have 1,000 / 4.3 rushing last year, the California Penal League? Because it wasn't the NFL.

Point is, there is nothing special - and now nothing healthy - ahead of Allen on the depth chart. It's all about opportunity.

Collins is the speculative Add at this point imho

Agree....I think the most talented of the 3-backs,runs very physical {3-yr college avg.5.3 yds. per carry} it helps Harbaugh thinks highly of what he has seen so far in game action......My guess, mid-Oct. he will be the starter.....

Collins is ok. Looked terrible in the preseason and early in the year in Seattle. Played much better end of season.

I like Allen the best out of all Ravens backs.

I like Allen. He's a good pass catcher and suitable between the tackles. Truthfully the former is the most important part for that offense because of Flacco.

honestly the backfield in Baltimore is a mess.

the only guy I wouldnt worry about is Woodhead. hes an injury prone scat back who is too old.

not many players are productive on the wrong side of the age of 30 and Last I checked, Woodhead didnt look like Gore.

for the record, Gore is the oldest player to get 1000 yards rushing in aprox 30 years.

That does not mean you should go out and buy every 30+ player out there who has some talent. Usually these guys get injured or their skills deteriorate to the point where they are adequate backups and nothing more.

Woodhead I would argue was more of a never has been. he had two seasons where he put up 1000 total yards and the receiving totals in those years were 605 and 756 yards. That tells you how well he runs the ball in general.

When healthy he can give you spot starts, and to me that makes him an RB3. in PPR he may have occasional RB2 upside if the matchup is right but majority of the time he should be sitting on your bench.

What happens when Dixon comes back?

Dixon is out for the year

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon's meniscus injury required a full repair, and he will be out for the season.

Dixon was expected to need only a "trim," but a full repair was required upon closer inspection. It's a brutal blow for the 2016 fourth-rounder, who had a golden path to playing time once he returned from his four-game suspension in Week 5. It leaves the Ravens in a lurch, with only pass-catcher Danny Woodhead and fourth-year plodder Terrance West available as legitimate options. We suppose Buck Allen could also get another look. The Ravens could be forced to dip into the wafer-thin free agent market, which is currently "led" by Rashad Jennings and DeAngelo Williams. Still only 23, Dixon is worth stashing in Dynasty leagues, but he's now little more than a 50-50 proposition. Woodhead, who could seize goal-line work, is the preferred Ravens own, even in standard leagues.

Terrance West RB | BAL

Ravens' Terrance West: Active for London game

by RotoWire Staff

(1 hr ago) West (calf) is active Sunday for the Ravens' Week 3 matchup with the Jaguars in London.

West had been listed as questionable after the calf injury confined him to the sideline for all but one of the Ravens' three practice days this week, but after getting in a full session Friday and testing things out early Sunday without complications, he'll be cleared to take the field. While West may retain the starting designation, it's still expected that he'll cede ample work to Javorius Allen, particularly on passing downs. Alex Collins, who was promoted from the practice squad last week, may also get some touches when West requires a breather.

Thanks guys. I looked on Roto and saw nothing.

The live Yahoo feed also doesn't work in my Safari but works fine in Firefox.

Apple blows.

This is seriously ridiculous. Even in desperate catchup mode with Buck Allen as your primary passing back he's barely in there. Full blown 3 way RBBC. I really like Buck but it's time to abandon ship. Can't be trusted going forward.

What is the all-time record for fewest yards gained by a player with 5 or more catches in a game? Is it less than 13?

I remember having a RB one time getting 3 yards on 5 catches. My league wanted to take away PPR after that

3?! Wow, Allen wasn't even close.

What an abortion by Baltimore today.

I feel grateful to get the 8-9 points out of that.

With the Raven defense, he moves quickly to the front of my cut list.

Allen isn't good at running between the tackles. This game will bring people back to reality. It looks like and RBBC mess with Collins taking over the early down work. Then when Woodhead comes back Allen is back to being a 0.

I stated before Collins will be starter soon....It was obvious he was the superior back today....he will be a hot waiver wire pick week #4...
