Antiramie 50 Posted October 30, 2014 Is he a viable option this week? The 7 targets & 90 yards against Dallas were encouraging. The 2 lost fumbles are still a little concerning. I figure he has to get some looks with Cruz and Jennings out, the Giants probably playing catchup, and Indy's pass D making Heath Miller look like a top 3 TE last week. DaBeerz 88 Posted October 30, 2014 I wondered about that too, will they use him less because of the fumbles? I'm torn between him or J. Reed.
Antiramie 50 Posted October 30, 2014 I wondered about that too, will they use him less because of the fumbles? I'm torn between him or J. Reed. I'd give the edge to Donnell over Reed. Am I overthinking it considering Donnell over Olsen? Saints D hasn't given up any pts to TEs, however they've faced no one good so far. But Olsen historically hasn't done crap vs them either. The Hood 9 Posted October 30, 2014 I wondered about that too, will they use him less because of the fumbles? I'm torn between him or J. Reed. Has to be a bit of a concern that they may use Donnell less. Coughlin and fumbles are not usually a good mix. Giants #2 TE Fells seemed to get a few plays over Donnell to start 3rd qtr against Dallas even before that. He's the better blocker. Fells has caught all his 9 targets with 4 TD's. Still think Donnell is a solid play this week but any more big screws ups and it could cost him playing time.
Antiramie 50 Posted October 30, 2014 It's hard to overlook what Indy has allowed to some TEs this season though: Thomas - 28.4 Ertz - 8.6 Walker 14.4 Daniels - 7 Miller - 17.2
rotisserieking 34 Posted October 30, 2014 I'm rolling with Donnell over Heath 'I finally showed up for a game' Miller this week. Primary reason is what they talked about on NFL Network: Indy's corners are very solid and will force Manning to use the middle of the field, thus the value for Donnell and the RBs goes up for the dump offs in the flat. I'm also hoping this means Randle gets a bump as well because they're talking about using him in the slot for the remainder of the year.

I'm soured on Donnel, both times I put him in I got burned, then the next week he goes off on my bench. Seems to be one of those guys for me.

ric0 20 Posted October 31, 2014 Would anyone consider Donnell over Julius?
Antiramie 50 Posted October 31, 2014 Would anyone consider Donnell over Julius? NO. Though I wish I had started him over Olsen.
DaBeerz 88 Posted October 31, 2014 Most who should I start pundits are recommending J. Reed over Donnell.
TennisMenace 156 Posted November 1, 2014 Tight end is usually unpredictable except the chosen few. Donnell, Kelce, Allen, Reed are all risky, with not high ceiling. Out of that group, I think Reed has the highest ceiling. Allen is scoring tds but can he keep this up? Without that td he gets 0. That to me is very scary. Kelce is a safe 5 at least but chances for a td are less, so while he may get 55 yds, he may not get the td, which means 5 points. Allen may get the td plus 20 yds and thus get the 8. I think I'd rather have the safe 5 with possibility of 11 than the guy who could get you 2. Why has Donnell been pretty much useless since the big game?
