Draft Question?

Recommended Posts

I am in an 8 team league with a serpantine draft order. I hold the 8th pick, thus I pick 8 & 9. My league starts 2 QB's per week.

So the question is, do I simply take my 2 highest rated RB's, or, assuming nobody in my league is insane and he's still there, take a RB and Peyton Manning? If we only started 1 QB, no issue. But with two, I am torn, though leaning toward 2 RB's.

I think you are safe waiting taking RB/RB and taking QB/WR or QB/QB at 3/4 unless they are slow to go, then just wait for a "tier" you are comfortable with. Do you have a roster limit? We started 2 last year in a 10 teamer and I took Palmer, Favre, Warner and Brooks just to have the trade bait.

If Manning is still there in a league that starts 2 QBs at pick #8 you take him AND MAKE SURE this league does not lose any of its members! Even if you have to pay their entry fee. . .

He is prob a top 4 pick in that type of league behind the Big3. A RB like R Johnson/L Jordon + Manning is a good start in most leagues, let alone one that has 2 QBs starting.

If he was not there I would go RB-RB, try to pick up Hasselbeck/Brady in and a WR in 3rd/4th.
