Wife made me watch crazy rich asains. And when we were done I realized I dont understand people anymore. The movie sucked. Sure it's a chick flick and I'm ok with that, she will watch movies for me. But this was just bad. And it got great reviews and did good $$ and I wondered was it JUST cause it was Asian based?

So now I see all these great reviews for spider man. And I wonder if that's just because it has a black spidey guy in it? Anyone seen this thing? Cant trust reviews anymore.

I mean, it’s animated so you have to be interested in the prospect of enjoying an animated Spider-Man movie. But yea it was good. As a Spider-Man movie I liked Homecoming better.

Taking my son to see it this week / weekend, will report back. I wouldnt be going if I didnt have a kid though. Because its an animated spider man movie.

True story. Crazy Rich Asians absolutely bombed in all the Asian countries. Completely crapped the bed in China.

It was really good for a kids movie. The animation was terrific and I liked the characters. There were some good jokes around the ridiculousness of some of the alternate universe Spider Men. It was too long and the ending was a bit of a mess but I say that about every movie.

 

There were two Spider Women and the main character was Hispanic so I expect the usual bedwetters to biitch about Hollywoods SJW agenda etc.

I was truly surprised....elated in fact, at how much I enjoyed the Spider-Man Homecoming movie. It is my favorite Spider-Man movie to date.

 

....but I am kind of sick and tired of all of these superhero films.
