bfros 53 Posted October 31, 2014 I wish Lacy would lean up like Ingram and Bell did....what a difference it has made to their speed, cuts, lateral ability...and they still have power....all the more important when you work in a high octance passing offense like the packers. The old-school power big-back RB days (as the feature back) are over....
RaiderHaters Revenge 3,569 Posted October 31, 2014 yep, perfect examples, of guys I thought were slow in the past, who all of a sudden look super quick now
IMMensaMind 459 Posted October 31, 2014 Agree with this topic. Lacy: lay off the doughnuts!
bfros 53 Posted October 31, 2014 Ingram looks nasty good...ridiculously sharp. easily the steal of the draft. Anybody know if in fact he lost weight or what he did offseason?? He looks completely different? (so does Bell...and I know he slimmed way up)

bobby heenan 60 Posted October 31, 2014 Lacy us running just fine right now...the last few weeks prob as good as he ever has...he had some tough matchups early and some games that didn't allow him to get into a good rhythm...and a banged up line...he's running real well right now
Kent 228 Posted November 2, 2014 I own all three backs in various leagues. Lacy is fine. The cold weather is coming and nobody is going to want to tackle that monster when GB gets up big.

He's TD dependent and last week saw a ton of targets with Jordy shadowed by Kennan Lewis. He popped off one long catch and run but I think a good number of starting RBs in the league would have scored on the play where he got caught from behind. I own him in one league, invested in him, but I don't see much there in the running department. I think the best thing he has going for him is the remaining schedule which is quite nice. SuperSteelers 1 Posted November 2, 2014 Remember last year when everyone was giving the Steelers sh*t for passing Lacy for Bell? Well, looks like they knew what they were doing. Lacy is a good back, but certainly not one of the elite backs.

Head start and he looks great. But really what rb doesn't. On any other team without the weapons GB has he may play more like Shonn Greene stat line
wizbang 10 Posted November 2, 2014 Lacy is too slow to be consistently good. In that offense he's still going to produce enough to be a decent fantasy play but in real world football he's a below average starter. I've seen him play in person where his extreme slowness is more obvious. Agree that he needs to follow Bell and Ingram. They gave their roided up college bodies a year or two to un-swell and replaced the fat produced by getting off the heavy juice with lean muscle. That is OBVIOUSLY what is going down. What happened after they had to at least hide the roid usage is their bodies still had the mass but the quick twitch from gallons of juice in their system was gone. And then the muscle started to gel. Good for Bell and Ingram to get back to work and ditch the gel!
