I picked him up. 7-3 and playoff bound. Hopefully Green Bay strings together a few wins.

1. GB not likely to be in contention (playing for anything) so why push back your franchise?

2. It took him longer to come back from the non-throwing should before.

3. Weeks 15 and 16 are at Carolina and home against Minnesota. Not exactly easy Ds for the playoffs or to risk your QB (#1).

 

In a 2 QB league, I dropped him today for Reed (with Rudolph and Doyle as my TEs). I still have Wentz and Cousins as starters and kept Hundley as the emergency backup over the hope of Rodgers. If I dropped an actual playing QB and then needed one, there's no promise I'd get one.

Never realize how bad Greenbay truly was. You have a hobble QB on a terrible team first game back from injury. For what? 25 Points? You get better odds with Jared Goff or even Case. Not worth the risk.

If Green Bay is still in playoff contention then I could see Rodgers push to come back if humanely possible. The guy is a competitor.

 

But I've seen Green Bay play without him and without him they look like a very mediocre team at best and I do not expect them to be in playoff contention come week 15.

I dropped James Conner for him on the very bottom of my bench. I think Rodgers is a team guy that wants to be out there leading his guys. I also think he will go nuts in week 16 against Minny to get revenge.

Redraft League - I wouldn't stash him for final two weeks of the season. No value until then for you. What do you expect of him, if he does return the first week of availability.

 

Keeper - Guessing those who have him are keeping him regardless of this season.

 

Packers Future - Packers do not build through FA. Rarely if ever to they go for a $$$ FA move. I'd say if they did, is a player coming to them. Then they going after a player.

They are also all about building through the draft and being relatively young.

So, if this team isn't in contention for playoffs. They'd be better off being in contention for the Draft. Even if to trade down for more picks.
