City team. The surrounding area isn't that interested. When the Mets and Jets are good, especially the Mets, everyone gets into it. But nothing has compared to the 94 Rangers. I know you don't like that, but NYC was hopping that spring. Like I've never seen it. Plus the Knicks were in the Finals thanks to Michael Jordan "retiring ".

You got that right !!!!

Not a basketball fan but I was definitely on the 94 Knicks bandwagon- actually spent the playoffs on the road and in bars that were rooting against the Knicks. Made it a lot of fun.

Was in Indiana and Texas and no one liked us.

Nashville is pretty much a wasteland these days.

Assuming all playoff caliber...

Vols

Titans

Tide

Preds

I left off vandy, because if they were playoff caliber, the apocalypse cometh.

Yes, I am well aware of that. Still the number one team in town. Its the flagship state university, and many people from all over the state go there.

I know a number of season ticket holders in Memphis who drive the 14 hour round trip for each game.

Of course, these days, the bandwagon bans fans may have taken completly over.

This was just a discussion in an article in the Boston Globe. For us, it depends on what season it is. Right now, it is:

1. Patriots

2. Celtics

3. Red Sox

4. Bruins

If this were summer, then flip 2 and 3.

In my sports watching lifetime, each Boston team has held the #1 spot at one time. Typically its been the Red Sox except when one of the other teams has had an all time great leading them.

1970's - Bruins with Bobby Orr

1980's - Celtics with Larry Bird

2001 to present Patriots with Tom Brady

1970-to Present Red Sox in certain years

Interesting topic.

Phoenix:

Suns

Cards and DBacks

ASU football

Coyotes

If I extended it to Tucson I'd put U of A basketball above ASU football.

ASU basketball is ranked 5th in the nation, we're still trying to process it.
