Wk 16 Fantasy Super Bowl WW pickup

I also have Minnesota, but I think they earned me maybe 1 point against Green Bay earlier in the year, and that was at Minnesota. Worried about that..can't afford another 1-point outing during the playoffs.

Check in if you survived LT...

Just beat LT's team for the second time this year in my money league. To give you an idea how powerful his presence is on a roster, in a Yahoo league, I am against an absentee owner in the finals. He has LT on his team, and has been winning with McNabb as his QB.

    leinart vs bulger

Thanks for replying on mine. I'd go with the veteran Bulger on this one as well. While Arizona will probably have to pass the ball to score, they very well may wind up scoring few points against Denver. I don't trust the effort by Arizona at this point in the season. Bulger has more upside.
  4. Okay, this is for a first year league where we have our playoffs week 16 and 17. Stupid, yes, everyone knows that now. Can't be altered. My team is in the signature. I'll be dropping the great Ciatrick Fason for another TE to sub for Gates should injury occur. I'm really not liking Frank Gore going into Denver for a week 17 game. Addai if healthy goes against Miami, probably in RBBC action. Dillon has the Titans and might be a good play if Maroney is not ready to go or is given another week to rest. My question is this. If I cannot get a WW guy like Pinner or Dayne this week, which of the following RBs might step up to a starting role in week 17: Turner, Norwood, or Jacobs? Turner is slightly injured, Norwood moreso. Can anyone direct me on who might be a good pickup to stick in my roster to replace Gore (should I want to avoid starting him against Denver)? Of course, any other ideas on my roster will be well received, including opinions that I shouldn't sit Gore against Denver. All sane ideas will be considered. Thanks in advance.

    Standard Scoring Sucks

My money league uses standard scoring in this, its first year. We've already decided to go from 50/20 to 25/10 next year. I tire of seeing situations where someone like Dunn rushes for 130 yards but no TD only to be outpointed by someone like a Barlow who runs for 43 yards and scores a TD because he got the goal line carry.

Its the Antonio gates SUCKS thread.....

I guess what we Gates-owners have found out is that using a 3rd pick (alot of Gates owners did) to get him this year represented poor value. The Gates of last year would have been worth it, IMO, but this year the use of the 3rd pick to get him was folly. The warning signs: Brees to NO. Mea culpa.

    People in redraft leagues

8 of my original 16 remain. Interesting question...like to see more responses.
  9. Saw a short interview with Dungy a couple weeks ago, during which time he indicated Rhodes and Addai would be splitting carries the rest of the year. I'm an Addai owner, and it didn't come as a surprise to me. Every week I read some expert saying Addai will take over soon--wonder during what week of the season I will see the experts giving up on such predtictions.
  10. Since I have Dillon, Addai, and Norwood on the bench, my team would be stronger with an injury to Maroney, Rhodes, or Dunn. I hate the fact that FF makes me think of things like that.

Does anyone have ANY feelings on GALLOWAY?

Agree with the above poster. Gruden does seem to call for some home run plays to Galloway, but Grad apparently has some accuracy problems with the long ball (per commentators and by watching a couple games of Grad's). Plus, Grad's gonna have some weak games, such as last weeks games. Tough to look at match-ups and start Galloway IMO.

    Please evaluate this trade

I don't see a reason to veto the trade. I see nothing to suggest collusion. Other than collusion, I see no reason to veto a trade unless you are in a league with idiots who make a grossly unfair trades out of sheer ignorance, and even then I would prefer to get in on the milking of the idiots rather than veto We are three games into the season--who knows what this trade will look like at the end of the season. The new Palmer owner was already a Hasselbeck owner, so it's quite possible that the team that got T. Bell bettered his roster more than the guy who got Palmer (the poster, right?), unless this is a 2 QB league. I can't imagine being in a league where such a trade would be vetoed. I think you could make up some reason to attack any trade, and thus, damn near every trade would be vetoed. Good luck.
  14. I hope all the Addai supporters are correct when they say he will become the starter by week so-and-so, as I have him on my bench collecting splinters. Sure would be nice to see since I also have Dillon and Gore who might implode at any time. My gut feeling is that will see RBBC all year. I hope I am wrong.

    Its Gradkowski

Gobble..you liked the Bucs when they were pathetic, eh? Well, you might be rooting for them again by year's end. And we promise not to make you captain of the pirate ship.
