blackhawks 5 Posted November 4, 2018 Does a bad field equate to helping an offense or defense? Am seeing reports of field in Miami being in horrible conditions.....sloppy,slippery with standing water everywhere. Thoughts?
jrokh 568 Posted November 4, 2018 It could potentially make the game more sloppy, players slipping, more turnovers etc. I think it helps the Running game if anything.
blackhawks 5 Posted November 4, 2018 agreed....can see this turning into a game on the ground hurting the pass games of both teams
spongeballer 2 Posted November 4, 2018 A bad field makes no difference in projections. It's impossible to predict which player will slip and when. Offensive slips lead to bad runs, incompletions and maybe turnovers. Defensive slips lead to big plays and points. They offset.
huskyhater75 242 Posted November 4, 2018 A receiver knows where he is going, the defensive player has to react to that-playing DB is the toughest in rainy, slippery conditions. Of course if you have a Larry Czonka or Earl Campbell type of RB that helps too, but trying to cover a receiver is tougher than tackling power back.
polecatt 401 Posted November 4, 2018 John Madden always said it helps the offense because they know what they are going to do and the defense doesn't so that makes them a step slower.
Gepetto 982 Posted November 4, 2018 Don't know but we start 2 Defenses and I'm starting Jets & Dophins. Haha, will have to see how this goes.
