The first player you ever drafted?

2002, it was an auction so it wasn't really a pick. The first player that I got (I am pretty sure he was the first) was Curtis Martin for $57!

    Bears need a WR

I don't believe he said anywhere that the Bears' WR corps was better. He was merely pointing out a flaw in your statement. I had the same thought, especially regarding Royal. Maybe he will be a very solid WR, but maybe he will be then next Michael Clayton. One season does not make on a "proven" player.

    S. Smith NYG v. Avery v. Josh Morgan

They say after 4 hours you should go see a doctor...
  4. Everyone seems to forget that Singletary was a holdout as a rookie. I don't think he is too upset with Crabtree in that regard, to a point. I do not think that he will put up with any prima donna crap from Crabs once he signs though.

    DeAngelo, Megatron, Brees

    Johnson, Brees, Williams

James Harrison did not learn from Vick

Just a little tidbit. Pit bulls score better on temperment testing than most dogs. the breed is gentle, but they are loyal, possibly to fault in some circumstances. And they are freakishly strong. I bet those stat hounds would find that there are more bite incidents involving chiuauas, but they don't make the news because they cannot do much damage unless they are biting a baby.

    Don't forget Laurinaitis

2009 NFL Draft Weekend Team Thread: Chicago Bears

I hope that Delmas falls into the Bears' lap, but know that is not likely. I would like them to take a look at Sean Smith from Utah to fill their need at DB. I am a huge fan of Jarrett Dillard. His athleticism, hand, and route running more than make up for his small frame and lack of top end speed. I don't really think there are many players to fill the need of a pass rusher.

Anyone see Jamie Dukes talking about Hasselbeck?

    Sounds like another Seneca Wallace...

    Who Does Cutler Throw To?

You can throw the stats out there, but the truth of the matter is that a QB will throw more INTs when his team is down because he is taking chances to get his team back in the game that he wouldn't normally tak in other situations. In the game you use as your example, Cutler's 1st pick came towards the end of the 1st half with his team down 24 - 6. That sounds more like the defense failed, putting him in the type of situation described above...

    Who Does Cutler Throw To?

They drafted Earl Bennett in the 3rd last year, Cutler's go-to receiver at Vanderbilt.

Why Combine 40 Speed is Over-rated.

Chris Henry's (RB Tennessee) 40 time elevated his draft stock quite a bit too, but you don't hear his name anymore...

Refs tried to give the Cards the game..

You could make the same argument about the Steelers. The roughing the passer call was bogus. They were calling the whole game tight, so with that in mind, the safety was legit. There were a lot of ticky-tack penalties in this game, both ways.

My early top 14 fantasy rookie picks

No Jarrett Dillard? I think he should fall withing that 3rd round range, before Ringer, and I like him more than Robiskie.

Crabtree - How good will he be?

Forte was in the top 7 or 8 of most rookie drafts I saw. In my money league he went 4th. That being said, it is a deep rookie draft and there will be talent available in the 8-12 range.
