Melvin Gordon Questionable

Recommended Posts

He was limited in practice Friday with a hamstring injury. Since the Chargers are playing early in London tomorrow (9:30 AM Eastern), you'll need to get up early and check the inactives.

Regardless of whether he plays or not, this would seem to make Ekeler an even better flex than usual....

If Gordon sits would Eckler be a RB 1? Would you play Eckler or K. Drake vs. Det?

Elk becomes a must start if Gordon sits...

Considering the Chargers have a week 8 bye, they may be more inclined to play it safe & bench Gordon even if he could play through it. Ekeler is a borderline RB1 tomorrow if he gets the start, especially in PPR.

Not good news. I guess I will move him into my flex and then decide between Duke, Sanu or Ebron in a ppr league. Any thoughts

Frickitty frick! Lenny in one league. Melvin in the other. At least I have Ekeler in both.

Lets hope they just say Gordon is out and dont pull an Alfred Morris with him.

Playing against him in both leagues this week. Not wishing anything bad on him. That being said it might be in his best interest to sit this week to avoid bigger problems in the future.

Gordon (hamstring) is likely to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Titans in London, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Spin:

Gordon was downgraded to questionable earlier Saturday after initially not receiving an injury designation. The Chargers also signed running back Detrez Newsome for depth purposes, which is hardly a good sign for Gordon's potential availability. Kickoff for Sunday's game is at 9:30 a.m. EDT, so fantasy owners will need to be ready for a potential lineup change come morning. Should the 25-year-old be unable to suit up, Austin Ekeler figures to be in line for a heavy workload against the Titans.

Currently have Kerryon and Hunt with John Brown at flex would you play Ekeler over Kerryon or Brown if Gordon is out

No brainer there buddy...

Ebron first but Dookie is the dark horse. Hes got not action all year but who knows what his role might become now Hyde is gone.

The good thing is they'll announce prior to the game which is 9:30 AM Eastern. This way you can adjust accordingly.

It'd suck if he had a late game.

I have the same call to make re: Ekeler vs. Kerryon. I'm not loving it because I think Kerryon will get quite a bit more work today with Riddick out, but Ekelr has ZERO competition for snaps today.

Now it is a matter of if we all get Shannied with Ekeler. Some folks have hoped for a Gordon injury since Ekeler had some moments last year. Here we are. Does he get the bulk of the work? Or does some other dude pop in?

This has to help Rivers right? Still debating on starting him or luck today

This game has a 16-12 kinda feel to it, I dont like anyone in this game. London games can be rough.

The highs and lows of fantasy football. Excitement when Hyde got traded (I had Chubby on my bench), only to be followed by this. Guess I'm playing Chubby over Gordon. Can't say I'm overly excited by that.

Start Keenan & Ekeler comfortably.

Start a wide receiver one and a starting running back that won't compete for touches?

WHITE HOT TAKE!!!!!

Hey...folks are concerned. Sometimes it needs to be said.

And btw: Allen isn't a WR1 and hasn't been one since week 1. Folks are starting to get restless. I am personally autostarting him due to lack of reasonable alternatives in the league where I have him, but I would like a TD and/or a 10 for 110 soon.

I don't know, it seems these London games are always a dominating high scoring team.

Not based on any researched fact...

just memory and perceptions...

and I drink a lot.... sooooo

The highs and lows of fantasy football.

And the vicissitudes of FF. This is my worst bye week of the year and I had started out feeling poor. I picked up Barber who I felt may have a good game against CLE and now here's Ekeler coming off my bench. Now, suddenly, I'm going to have to sit someone this week I don't want to.

Here's a crazy idea- let's get Ekeler to the edge instead of up the middle EVERY time where he has ZERO room.

Also, Kerryon is clearly going to rush for 190 yards and 3 TDs today... :overhead:

They need to get him the ball in open space- pitch to the edge, screen...something where has a chance to make a move and take off.
