Just because he's a lib in real life doesn't mean that he can't act worth a chit.

Broaden your horizons a bit, Posty.

I don't care what his politics are, I really had no desire to see a majority of the movies that he has been in...

Adam Sandler, by a mile.... Penn is a douche - but he was great in Bad Boys.

When your a great actor you get recognized by the Academy. He never was so he went the tard route the way Hoffman did to get one. Everybody loves a movie tard so he took the role. Same with playing the ghey guy. Penn is a tard.

No Matter what he does - whatever awards he wins ... wherever he goes -- he will ALWAYS be remembered as Jeff Spicoli

To Bunny, he'll always be remembered for his real life Hurricane Katrina heroics.

Make up your mind, do you want Sean Penn or Best 80's movies? The two do not go together. :nono:

p.s. Phoebe Cates was hot.

He was awesome as Tony Meserve in Casualties of War. He played a great stoner too in Fast Times. Although, from what I have read, he was obsessed with that role and even almost turned himself into a real life Spicoli. Really liked him in Bad Boys too. He was good at playing punks. Never seen At close range or colors, maybe I will give them a look some day.

At Close Range is a true story and is a tremendous film, although very hard to watch at times. Just one great performance after another and is without a doubt my favorite Penn film.

Colors was Training Day before Training Day.

If Denzel Washington is in a movie, it is almost guaranteed to be good but not great.

Yep. Worth watching, not worth going to a theater.
