What "stud(s)" are you benching? and who are you starting over them
illini9825 replied to Gepetto's topic in FFToday Board
Benching Rivers, starting Rodgers; road divisional games and River's history at Arrowhead make me hesitant -
What do you need Monday night to clinch a 'ship?

24 pts from Denver's D. Finally gave up on the Dolphins and Miller and it's probably gonna cost me. The madness that is fantasy football! -
Jeremy Langford and Mike Davis - Next Man Up RB's

Jacquizz is on IR, this is Langford's show. -
So the Bears quit playing in NE and GB. The last two games have been historic performances. The environment Sunday at Soldier Field will probably be more friendly towards the Vikings than the Bears. This debacle will cost Trestman his job for sure but also might get the GM Emery as well. They just need to burn it all down and start fresh.
-
Things are unraveling quickly around Trestman. If this doesn't get turned around in the second half of the season, he is gone. Cutler has $54 million in guaranteed money, he is around for at least two more seasons after this. It is a mess and will only get worse.

Joseph Randle could be the best handcuff out there

Why him over Dunbar? -
AP is done for 2014. There are talks of a NFL suspension coming...

Yahoo used to do this but discontinued it this year. They tried to cut it out about 3-4 years ago only to bring it back the following year. Worth checking them out to see if they bring it back next year.

The skill portion comes in when identifying players for your draft and working the waiver wire beyond the obvious selections that every website recommends. Beyond that, it's all luck. You don't control your schedule, matchups, or injuries. You can plan all you want but if your top picks has a down year, most likely you are SOL for the year.
-
Hopefully the Bears don't rest their decision on the future of the franchise on a single game. Cutler is better than McCown but McCown seems to be a better fit for the offense. At 35, there is no guarantee that McCown will play this well next year and that a QB that is drafted will be any good. They are almost stuck doing a long term deal for Cutler with deferred money as they have salary cap issues going into next year and they desperately need help on that defense (yeeeesh!). We shall see, I'm just glad these aren't my decisions to make! Personally, I'd rather go the McCown route, draft the QB, and repair the defense.

Going with Morris over Vereen in a PPR league. This is all about the matchup for me, Vereen could go off but I think Morris gets at least one TD.

SuperBowl Line-Up Questions/Discussion (Allowed this Week)
illini9825 replied to Fantasy Fiend's topic in FFToday Board
I'm sticking with Romo, my only other option is Cousins at this point and I trust Romo a little more. I'm struggling big time with one of my lineups, PPR. I've been debating three positions all week: RB, WR, Flex: Morris, Vereen, Moreno, Decker, and VJax I'm leaning towards Morris, Moreno, and VJax due to the matchups. Decker has more upside but then again, he could produce squat. Thoughts? -
I'm tempted to bench him but I feel like I'm over analyzing because of the stakes. Arrrrrrggggghhhhh!

2 FG'S by Tucker and I win probably the lowest scoring game in our league to date. Such an odd football Sunday.

This is crazy. I was down by 48 pts but came roaring back to win by 2. What a crazy day of games.
