UPDATE: Bryce Brown Anyone? - DuJuan Harris Released - CMike Signed

Recommended Posts

After being passed around the league, including being claimed and then waived by Seattle twice, he was added by the Hawks again today.

DuJuan Harris was very ineffective last week after Rawls went down (18/42/0 - 2.3 ypc), after Rawls had been ripping it early in the game. Old man Freddy is likely to remain a 3rd down type back, I would assume.

IF he could get meaningful carries (and hang on to the football, which Harris didn't do last week), he could once again become a household FF name, playing the Browns and the Rams at home in the next 2 games. With Wilson on fire, defenses have to defend the pass game......and Brown does have talent and is only 24 years old.

With Harris and Freddy being the popular adds, Brown might be the sneaky addition.

Doesn't know plays yet

He was with the team from Oct. 27th-Nov. 28th, except for the 4 days he was waived (Nov. 21st-24th).

I realize that plays change and evolve through the course of a season, bu you really don't think he knows any plays?

Per Rotoworld:

Harris is a run-of-the-mill talent, while Brown is an electric runner but a turnover-prone knucklehead.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts

He probably still doesn't know the plays from the years he spent with Buffalo. He's another C. Michael, NFL talent but not much comprehension of a playbook beyond dive and off-tackle.

That didn't take long . Don't see any upside to this situation .

I'm planning on using my #4 waiver on him (pretty sure I will get him as the other three above are out of it). By the sounds of some of you, it sounds like that might be a bad idea? I would go with Shoelaces, but he's already rostered. Bolden...I just don't trust Pats rbs.

Not sure why everyone is shrugging this off. :dunno:

Unless they add another RB (which is very possible - Hunter & Ball come to mind), you are talking about a young and physically talented RB with no competition (except Freddy on 3rd downs), who can catch the ball outta the backfield, has fresh legs, playing on one of hottest offenses right now in the NFL.....just in time for the FF playoffs.

May amount ot nothing. Heck, they may release him tomorrow. But the situation, as it stands now, screams for an add.

I would think Freddy may be the goal line back. Bryce brown is one fumble away from the bench. And he has some greasy ass fingers like he just ate a 2 piece and a biscuit from Popeye's

Sneaky play Fred Jackson is.

Bb will be benched if he gets any run at all. The old man still has a game left. Play him for the win. You heard it here first.

I'm thinking so too. It's pretty crazy how there is a very similar situation in Carolina too. People are gonna go nuts for CAP where I think Tolbert is the play here with JStew. Fjax and Tolbert would be the two I would go for if I whiffed on shoelace and bolden. Why wouldn't you use the human fire hydrant Mike Tolbert as your redzone RB

As a Hawks fan, I would rather see Brown get more carries. Fred looks like he's running in molasses this season. Good receiver but has very little burst left.

I foresee death by rbbc bunga bunga.

It can't be RBBC if there is only 1 rb

Carroll already said Jackson is just a change of pace back

Didnt he just say Harris would be part of the rb rotation too though?

As a dynasty owner of Bryce Brown I've had to hear for about 3 years now about his talent and potential. For 3 years he hasn't been able to get on the field. I know he's a talented back but the NFL doesn't turn it nose up at talent very often and for some reason both Philly and Buffalo couldn't justify playing him.

Now I was clearly wrong about him not being the play this week with Harris being cut, but I can't envision how, in a couple of weeks, he's shown enough to START in Seattle when he was the #3 RB in philly and buffalo constantly battling for a roster spot.

My money would be on FJax to outscore Brown, but I can't make a solid case for that other than I've watched Brown never move the needle on my dynasty team's bench.

I actually think Whitaker may be the play here as far as replacing Stewart's "role" in the offense. Tolbert seems to have niche role with that team and I'm not sure he's what they veiw as the replacement for Jstew between the 20's. I would say that you're correct about the red zone work as even when Stewart is healthy, Tolbert is utilized heavily in the redzone, and I would expect to see that even more if Stewart doesn't play.

Well, I have AP, Draughns, Hightower, and now Bryce Brown. I think I'm going to take a chance with Brown over Draughns this week, and hopefully it works out. It's not like I'm starting him over studs, my rbs are just that poor due to injury.

Mine are a mess because of injury, too. I think I'm going to start Brown over West, Allen or either Den RB.

Im debating starting Brown over Ivory since I'm up against a juggernaut of a team and need to swing for the fences..

Ivory has had only two games all year with 100 yards and a td (when Powell was a bit banged up and not playing much if I remember correctly)

Powell recently keeps taking work from Ivory with him getting carries and most of the passing down work...

Brown may get a lot of carries if/when Seattle is up big on Cleveland's gross defense...

The Seattle game will be in windy down pouring conditions that just sets up well for Bryce to break a few long runs and he may get multiple tds with one being a long run and one being from like the 10-15 yard line in the red zone before they turn to fjax..

Brown may fumble but so did Harris and they kept feeding him the ball so there may be some leeway here for Brown to help his owners out big time this weekend...

.....and look who is back. The man-the legend.......CMike. If I had to guess I would say that Christine Michael and Bryce Brown being on the same NFL roster will probably cause our our poles to shift.

Seahawks signed RB Christine Michael.

Advice: The Redskins released Michael from their practice squad less than 24 hours ago. Bryce Brown is penciled in as the starter for Sunday's game against Cleveland, but it's possible Michael could play a change-of-pace role with Fred Jackson getting work on passing downs. Michael has already been cut by three teams this year including the team he just signed with. Still, it's certainly conceivable C-Mike could see a handful of Week 15 carries. He's spent far more time in the Seahawks' system than Brown has.

I'm starting to like Michael here. Not sure I or anyone can start him.

Nah....I rostered him in case he blows up (and I advance this week), but I couldn't imagine staring him. Rolling Shoelace and Hightower instead.
