The problems Rio organizers have run into before the Opening Ceremony have ranged from disturbing to outrageous.

 

Now, they’re just funny.

 

According to media reports, Rio officials lost the keys to Olympic Stadium yesterday. This left organizers unable to access the mixed area of the venue.

 

No big deal, right?

 

Desperate times calls for desperate measures as workers had to come in and use bolt cutters to get into the stadium. In a city with more than six million people, a locksmith was apparently difficult to find.

Me too. My wife and I were talking about it last night and the appeal for me is unlike a basketball or football season where you know everybody and get to see them season after season we only get to see these guys once every 4 years. So it's kind of fun when you see their event on to remember those folks from 4 years ago.

So, it did happen- thursday- just after the torch relay -they originally said it was a vice-consul from the embassy.

Russia is now disputing that.
