This is a pretty logical statement. This game is going to be all about Bell again, and working the middle with Juju and the Outlaw (Jesse James). The Jags weakness is against the run and their interior coverage.

They need to get BEN going. He sucks right now. I'm leaving Brown in for volume. With Big Ben's terrible passing, a guy like Bryant who typically does all his damage on 4 catches is a low percentage dart throw.

You can never not start Bryant? I disagree. That will all depend on your WRs. I think we were all *hoping* for Bryant to be a must-start every week. But he isn't that yet. In my keeper league, I have AB, Hopkins, and Hogan. Bryant wouldn't see my starting lineup.

I mean, I think my 3 WRs are pretty good. So I'm not saying I'd sit Bryant for just anyone. But I do think it's true that a Bryant 'blow up week' would likely outscore a Hopkins or Hogan big week. Bryant has a huge ceiling. But the consistency has been way off so far, Bryant's floor is just so low at the moment.

Sure. But with the way Ben is playing right now, I think Bryant is way way more bust than boom. If Ben gets his game turned around, different story. But he's not great right now.

Ben has straight up missed an open Bryant on at least 4 throws that would have gone for TD's on each. The problem right now is under center.

The point is there are surprises every week. Rankings for each week or ROS are extremely speculative and tend to react heavily to the previous week or two from what I've witnessed.

Recency bias is not the best way to win in FF. A more proactive approach is to analyze the matchup and try to determine how the opposing team can be exploited or not. Sadly, we're not the coach so a lot of it is speculation and hope that they'll see what we see. For example, you don't throw on the Jags. You just don't. Coach Tomlin gets that...........now. lol

 

I expect a steady dose of Gurley on the ground against the Jags this Sunday. That doesn't mean Coach McVay will see it that way.

The Martavis owner just offered me a trade. I'm the Zeke owner and also own McFadden and Morris. He offered me my choice between Martavis Bryant or Amari Cooper for Alfred Morris and Agholor.

 

I keep McFadden.

I'm 4-1 and my thinking is that if I can keep McFadden and either Amari or Martavis start outperforming Agholor second have of season.. I'll be in a strong position when Zeke returns.

Fair enough on that thinking. But if you have the Dallas starting RB, and Agholor even just keeps doing what he's doing now, you may also be sitting well when Zeke comes back. And will you benefit more by getting whatever Bryant or Cooper ends up improving too? Both of those guys, even when they are 'on', are boom/bust guys. Half the time you'll get great games, the other half you'll get squat. If Bryant turns into the 'every week guy' a lot of us were hoping for, yeah. But I don't have hope at the moment.
