  1. Hi guys, A buddy of mine is starting a new dynasty league with the goal of starting a really good league free of "that guy" who is just in the league because his friends are and who always needs reminders to set his lineup and who never responds to trade requests. Basically, you can read the letter he has written and posted to dynastyleaguefootball.com. Just thought I'd pass it along because I know there's a lot of dedicated, passionate FF players here, and I'd like a chance to play with you guys Leave your email if interested! Greetings, I'm relatively new to these forums, but I've been playing FF for over 10 years. I'm here to find owners to the new dynasty league I'm starting. Now, I'm sure we've all been in leagues with our friends, and they are really fun, but there's always those three or four sort of apathetic owners who are really only in the league because they're friends with everyone. They just aren't into it as much. They're the guys who need reminding to set their lineups each week or who don't respond to any trade offers ever. No matter how competitively you play FF, I'm sure we've all experienced this. Well, I want to start a league where we don't have to worry about that. When I first found this website and these forums, I was excited. A lot of my friends who I normally play with love FF, but aren't necessarily willing to make the longterm commitment of a dynasty league, so I'm really glad I found this place. If anyone out there is looking for a great new league totally comprised of dedicated owners who share the same passion as one another, please let me know. My dream is to have a competitive, long-lasting league that we can all enjoy and hopefully become good friends in the process. Here is my proposed league: - 12 or 14 team league, depending on interest - Low fee ($20 or something, nothing too substantial, but enough to keep it competitive for people) - 18 roster spots, no DL, no IDP - QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex (RB/WR/TE), K, Team D/St - 4 pt pass TD, 6 pt rec or rush TD, 6 pt return TD, etc. - League website/FB group for offseason activity Additionally, we can discuss the details such as offseason rules, which website to use for in-season league management, rules for replacing owners, etc. as a league. As for the draft, I was thinking we could draft while the 2011 season is still going on. That way, we get the offseason to build up our teams how we see fit. We could choose whether or not we want to actually play the remainder of the 2011 season, but I was thinking we could just draft (random draft order) and then at the end go by total 2011 fantasy points accumulated by our respective teams, and the lowest point total would get the #1 pick in August. Please post with email address if you are interested. I hope to get a good, solid group of 14 owners to have an awesome league and hopefully start some great friendships. Hope to hear from you.

    General Trade Ethics Question

This isn't a question regarding specific players, but I was wondering people's opinion of the following scenario that I've seen happen: Owner A offers Owner B a trade on a Thursday, a pretty equal trade. Owner B does not respond to trade prior to Sunday's games. During Sunday's games, the player Owner A was hoping to acquire in the trade gets seriously injured (for argument's sake, let's say torn ACL or some other sort of season-ending injury). Owner B, seeing that his player is done, accepts the trade and sends his injured player to Owner A in return for uninjured player. Who is in the wrong here? Is it Owner A's responsibility to cancel the trade when it is clear that Owner B is not going to accept or decline prior to Sunday? Or is this a total Bush League move by Owner B? Do you guys have by laws in your leagues for this type of thing?

    Michael Turner Trade Value?

I'm in a dynasty league, so obviously that skews his value compared to re-draft leagues, but I was a Turner owner and I believe this will be his final really productive season as a true workhorse. Now, with the stats he's putting up, I'm basing that on nothing but a hunch, but yeah. I traded him 2 weeks ago for DeMarco Murry (before his outburst), Greg Little and a first round draft pick. In re-drafts however, I think you have to roll with him. He has some cake defensive matchups and the Falcons passing game isn't as advanced as we all thought it would be with Julio Jones coming in. Mike Smith still wants to be a run-first team, especially in the redzone. Look at Burner's post season schedule (final four games of season): Carolina, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Tampa. Unless you can get a steal or you are in a keeper/dynasty league, I think Turner will be among the better RBs all season.

    Garrard Released By Jags

Are Mike Thomas and Mercedes Lewis still startable? Obviously MJD is a must-start if healthy regardless, but yeah. Not great news for owners who have to rely on any Jags.

    Garrard Released By Jags

Luke McCown to start Week 1!!! Wow! What does this do for MJD, Mike Thomas, Mercedes Lewis?!!

If you would start a NFL team from scratch...

If I was starting an NFL team from scratch, I wouldn't take anyone over the age of 26-27 for my first five picks. 1. Sam Bradford 2. Jake Long 3. Ndom Suh 4. Patrick Willis 5. AJ Green

Ingram will be "heavily involved" in Saints O

I just find it hard to believe that the Saints will just let Ingram be a bit part of a maddening, Shanahan-like RBBC because of what they gave up to draft Ingram. If the Saints were content to just throw anyone out there at RB in a RBBC, they would have just settled for one of the lesser rookie RBs later in the draft to fill Bush's spot, or just stayed with Thomas and Hamilton. But they didn't. They moved up to take Ingram in the first round ahead of guys like Ryan Williams, Mikel LeShoure, Daniel Thomas, etc. I just don't think you would actively move up to take this kid if you were planning to just 50/50 split him with Thomas. I just think that is a telling sign that they have big plans for this kid in their offense. Sure, Thomas and Sproles will have their roles as well, but if the Saints' offense is as good as we think it can be, there are going to be a bunch of 1-yard rushing TDs to be had, and many opportunities for Ingram to be used to kill the clock in the 4th quarter. I honestly think he's going to win rookie of the year offensively unless Cam or either AJ Green or Julio Jones lights it up. I say 255 carries, 1100 yards 9 TDs rushing; 35 receptions 380 yards receiving

    What are the Redskins thinkin'?

Holy crap, is that a real picture?

    Kevin Boss is a Raider

Does he have any value there?

    Ahmad Bradshaw

According to PFT and other sources, Ahmad Bradshaw has agreed to terms to return to the New York Giants. From a fantasy perspective, Bradshaw was the dominant runner for NYG with 1200/8 and a bunch of receptions. Will this sort of split continue with the Giants? Is Bradshaw still a solid RB2?
  11. scherber830

    Ahmad Bradshaw

I'm just hoping the Snelling rumors aren't true. Isn't Snelling more of a bruiser anyway? Why wouldn't the Giants prefer the more well-rounded Bradshaw to compliment Jacobs? Hopefully Bradshaw sees his value isn't as high as he thought and signs with NYG.

    Ahmad Bradshaw

I was hopeful that the Giants would sign him back because I have him as one of my starters in dynasty (although I do have 1.01 and 1.02 in my rookie draft so I can replace him with Ingram and/or Thomas, LeShoure, etc.), and at least if he's back with the Giants, it's easier to project him to have similar production as last year. But now, if Snelling lands in NYG, it's more likely that Bradshaw ends up somewhere where he's in a murkier RBBC situation like Houston, Cincy, etc.

    keeper help

Watch Grant during preseason to see if there's any indication about how GB plans on using Grant and Starks. I would rank them like this: 1. Collie - if he stays healthy, he literally could be the #1 most productive Colts WR this year. 2. Grant - if GB gives him back his bell-cow gig, he could be awesome in that offense. More likely a 60-40 split 3. Rice - Even with bad QB play, he is going to get targeted a ton and he can go up and get badly thrown balls. 4. Knox - Still will produce alongside Roy Williams, just not many TDs or receptions.

4 to Choose, 2 to Keep; HELP!

Forte and Felix for me. Forte is the unquestioned #1 guy in Chicago, and started to come on towards the end of last year. He is still relatively young and catches lots of passes in Martz's offense. Felix is finally getting his opportunity to shine, as it's clear Jerry wants to give him every chance to succeed. As for Hillis, he's on the Madden cover and I just think the new coaching staff is going to try to get Hardesy involved in more of a 50/50 split. And DeAngelo to me is just a disastrous season waiting to happen. He just got paid, he's injury prone, he's almost 30, he's on a losing team with a rookie QB, he has to share with two talented backs in Stewart and Goodsen, so I just don't see him doing much. So yeah, I'd go Forte and Felix. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=385270
