I thought the show was good. I'm wondering how long of a run they can have with KC's character having cancer though. I don't see anybody else carrying that show.

Finally got around to finishing the last 2 episodes this weekend.

 

I have enjoyed all of Sheridan's movies (Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River) and have a personal connection to ranching, Natives, and Montana so I definitely viewed the series through biased eyes.

 

The fact that it took almost a month for me to get around to the last few episodes is a testament to how slow the show is, but I am glad I finished because they went out strong and setup next season with some fire out of the gate.

 

Besides the beautiful MT/UT scenery probably the best thing Yellowstone has going for it is the cast. Unfortunately none of the characters this season were given much, but the actors are all capable of carrying an arc.

 

Lots of eye candy, hopefully they give the Native chicks (Casey's wife and the stripper) more screen time in season 2.

 

I didn't realize until the final 10 minutes that the cowboy they picked up from the prison was Ryan Bingham. He did a great job in the indie film A Country Called Home (with the always lovely Imogen Poots )

 

and his music was in Crazy Heart and The Bridge. A real modern day cowboy.

 

 

 

I hooted out loud when Casey kicked the horse and the Cali Cuck was left hanging by a rope.

 

Definitely looking forward to season 2.
