Drafted Keeper league needs 3 owners

Recommended Posts

I posted a while back about my league. Basically it's a 16 team keeper league. Here's the situation...The teams have been drafted...However, there was some problems so I gave everyone a chance to leave if they wanted. 3 of them did so I paid all their money back. I didn't want a situation where people were unhappy...So I need 3 people to fill these spots...here are the rosters available...Since these teams are already drafted, I'm taking the hit and not requiring a deposit for the following year that I did with everyone. I know I didn't have to give the deposit back from those that left but I felt it was the right thing to do. Anyway here are the teams. email me at thetrenches@hotmail.com if interested. The fee is $55 but there are more payouts than just the winners including weekly money to high points. These teams are pretty damn good. Some are better for keeper potential and others for now.

There is one team left. Besides the WRs, every other position is pretty nice. Especially the RBs with McGahee/Portis/AP/Taylor. You can only start 2 rbs so AP could be really good trade bait as he is a top top keeper option. i should get emails so I would like someone who could join and pay quickly. We are doing the 1st round of salary cap claims tomorrow so I would like everything to be filled by then.

The problem was that there was a questionable trade during the draft. In a 16 team league, the guy didn't have any rbs and was picking late in the 3rd round. He moved up 12 spots and gave up a 4th rounder. It was a little much but he took Steve Smith and Peyton Manning. So those two complained about it (the other is a friend who wasn't as involved) but I had said before the draft that there would be no vote on any deals during the draft.

Anyway, everything still went on and everything was fine but then when I pointed out that any trade made now required a review (you're mixing in keepers and rounds) then they got a little upset. They were still going to be in the league but I didn't want them complaining about it the entire time so I offered them a way out. So they left and now I'm looking for others.

I pointed this out before the draft. We left in good terms. I didn't have to give back the deposit as the rules stated but I thought it was the right thing to do at that situation. I realize that I probably should've really emphasized it but I didn't...

However I wasn't going to switch it just because 2 owners were complaining. As you know during the season, stuff can change and people can get crooky once they are out of it. I feel it's necessary to have a league wide vote instead of everything going through.

The reason I didn't need a draft review was because it would hold back the draft (did an email draft) and the main reason: nobody is giong to pay $80 (55 + deposit) and automatically fix it. If this was a trade in the first round where someone gave #10-2nd round-3rd-4th round for #3 then i'd have a major problem with it but he was trying to get a rb because they were flying off the board.
