Bottles 0 Posted August 19, 2006 So I draft LJ first, and get Moss and Westbrook at 2.12/3.01 It comes back to me and I am thinking get a strong WR2 and then something else, usually RB3 However, This mock the best available RBs were Jones/Benson/McCallister/Rhodes/F. Taylor/DeAngelo Williams. Dunn/Foster/Addai/Bell were gone and I figured it was too early to take these guys at 4.12/5.01. At my next picks I might still be able to gt one of these guys or someone not much worse. Therefore, I went with the 2 best availaable WRs (DJax/Galloway/Walker and Andre Johnson were available) Do you do the same, or do you reach a bit on RB3? Or, do you draft a Qb or TE? Manning/Brady/Gates are the only ones gone. I might've gone Brady, but since he wasn't there, I went WR3. Thoughts?
Ray_T 590 Posted August 19, 2006 Gonzo had a bad year last season. I picked him up in the 5th round of our keeper draft this year(each of us keeps 3) so this is the equivalent of the 8th round.(10 team league) if you think this is adequate, I'd expect you can wait until later to pick a TE. I'd wait until round 6 to Pick a TE
skittles 0 Posted August 19, 2006 Tough one. The WR's aren't all that awe-inspiring, but then again, neither are the RBs. I would definitely take Darrell Jackson with one of those picks, and then you probably have to go ahead and grab your favorite of those Running Backs. Probably your pick of Jones/Benson. You could always grab Jackson, and also Hasselbeck (assuming he is your next best QB) although I personally am not flying high with the Seahawks offense. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222611
jets145 0 Posted August 19, 2006 That is a tough call. At that poiny, you have to make value picks. Those guys aren't good enough to take that high. Take the best guys there. And those guys were those WRs you named. I'm not big on QBs early, so I wouldnt have gone that way. TEs will fall later on. I think you made the right decision. Thanks for the input on mine. leftyguitar 0 Posted August 19, 2006 can't go wrong with peyton that late in the draft. its like an early christmas present. hehhe the wr's and rb's you mentioned are all mid tier and are pretty much a dime a dozen. if you can jump on the #1 QB, and #1 RB while having DJax and Galloway as your OK players thats the start of something pretty darn good. Good luck! please see my qb question http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222621
staypuft29 0 Posted August 19, 2006 i think you should have gone with a wr and a rb... if the receivers available were a little stronger i might have gone with 2 recievers but its not like any of those receivers are that great... i dont think it was worth the risk of getting stuck with a bad rb3. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222629
