Female singers

Recommended Posts

I know, the only non gay people on this board only enjoy hearing from Angus Young while he's vomiting and being blown by supermodel while his backup guitarists are playing no more than 3 chords.

So I guess I'm okay with being gay. Pink, LeAnn Rimes, most 90s country girls, pretty freaking amazing. I'll take any of the female country artist from the 90s over any of these dipshoit flocktards in country today by a long shot.

Love the Sunday's - Harriet Wheeler was the 1st name to pop into my head.

Natalie Merchant, Belinda Carlisle, Olivia Newton John and Karen Carpenter too.

.

One of my favorite albums back in the day was Our Time in Eden.

I love me some Norah Jones as well. Plus she's a hottie.

I think the four I posted are my favorites, probably in that order. I would kill all of you for a shot at Harriet Wheeler or Shirley Manson.

As an adult, my tastes have gone more toward 60/70s/80s rock, but I'll still enjoy Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, No Doubt, Alanis Morissette, etc.

Wait...there's REAL music other than 60's, 70's and 80's rock? No way.

Blonde, PJ Harvey, Portishead and Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth) are some of my favorite female singers.

Beach House is one of my new favorite bands and they have a female singer.

Country music died sometime during the 1990s. This stuff they try to pass off as country these days is tractor rap and it is garbage.

XM channel 58 - all 80s and 90s country around the clock. One of the best stations available.

The group-band known as Metric. She has the most adorable voice.

I can listen to the Synthetica album front to back, then back to front.

Here's my favorite song from it that was played on the radio, followed by the one that was not played on the radio that grew on me the most.

Here's a singer that I'm sure only @nzonerhas ever heard of before....

Ninet Tayeb is an Israeli singer/actress that has performed on several Steven Wilson songs.  I was lucky enough to see her perform live with SW on his most recent tour as her band opened on a handful of dates.

Edit: had trouble embedding on desktop version of site, but works perfectly on mobile. Wtf?

I listen to Adele radio on pandora or amazon music constantly at work.  It's always a pretty relaxing mix.  There are a lot of songs I love but I couldn't tell you the artists name.  One, in particular I love that might make me uber ghey is this:
