The guy that directed it, Nick Searcy, you guys might remember as Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) boss in Justified. He's been a well-known and critically acclaimed character actor in Hollywood for years, appearing in 5 Oscar nominated films, so is not someone that the left can try to demonize as a religious nut.
