How is Good Morning Football Still On The Air?

Recommended Posts

I was sure the show would be cancelled by now. I'll do a drive by now and then hoping for some actual football news.

Never get any. It's just pure nonsense from F list hosts. Anyone know when the show is up for renewal? They can't keep doing this. There is a ton of news they could cover with the access the NFL Network has. Nope.

I'm guessing for the same reason NFL Fantasy Live is still around. Granted, NFL Network added Cynthia Frelund, but that network could/should be blowing away the competition when it comes to analysis and the like.

I have found that this is the case for all tv fantasy football analysis.

just subpar across the board for the most part.

once in a while they will get lucky and provide a nice piece of info on a player you wouldnt have found elsewhere but that is the exception and not the rule.

if someone could put together a fantasy football TV program that is actually good, I'm sure they could do well with it. But with good analysis comes some predictions that would go against the grain, and I dont think TV networks like that. So they keep the show as conservative as possible with their estimates and the shows may be good for a first timer in the sense that you arent gonna go and pick Adrian Peterson first overall this year if you follow their predictions, but that's about the extent of the quality they will provide.

I think you are spot-on. I saw it first-hand working at ESPN years ago. They cater to the masses b/c ratings basically determine every move. In their mind, better to follow the herd and guarantee yourself a buck as opposed to going against the grain and lose a buck.

Fantasy football doesn't work that way, and I think that is a big reason why you rarely ever see an analyst from the big sites rank high in accuracy. They've already reached the mountaintop in their mind, and being wrong in a big way only serves to make them look bad.

I like the ESPN pre game fantasy show enough. The problem is when they fall in love with a guys potential and overrate them yearly. Like Lamar Miller. Enough already.

I dont know if I'd blame them for that. Nearly everyone was on the Lamar Miller wagon last year.

I think I was one of the only guys who wasnt. (took a lot of heat for that as well)

I like Kay Adams. She knows a lot about football. She used to be on Sirius with her own fantasy football radio show. To be on the NFL channel you must be like a morning newscast, all fluff and very little substance. I don't even watch it in the summer----just during the season.

She's pretty good looking. Honestly I didnt notice that she actually talks.

that's why i get my info from free user driven sites.

espn, nfl, cbs and any pay site are selling you football, not giving unbiased opinions.

Dude, Kay Adams is an absolute focking hammer. Nate Burleson is one of the best ex-jock commentators. I knew Kyle Brandt from the Jim Rome Show. Happy for KB. Even that Lumpy looking guy is funny from time to time. It is what it is. Besides, I get all my football news on Twitter anyway.

They are a group of clowns. Even if they were good, the carnival format wouldn't let it shine through.

It's fluff tv, something to watch while getting ready for work. Again, I get my solid news and analysis from Twitter.

We all get our news elsewhere. There is no news on the show. With their access to all things NFL, its fracking criminal.

I agree with this post the most.

I'd like to add that Charlie Casserly provides regular insights.

I enjoy gathering information everywhere I can.
