QB: Drew Brees (NO)

RB: MJD (Jax)

RB: Tomlinson (Chi)

WR: Steve Smith (Car)

WR: Hines Ward (PIT)

TE: Cooley (SD)

K: Vinatieri (IND)

D: Chicago

Reasoning:

It was pretty simple to pick the team. I just look for the one player at each position that has the greatest chance to out produce his teammates.

Brees will get his points no matter who has a big game in the show. You never know which WR is going off after Colston.

Jax is going to tear up the league this season. MJD is a TD machine & will only get better as the season goes on....you are looking at a top 3 pick next season you keeper league numbskulls. I love Freddy, but his days are numbered.

Tomlinson will garner the lions share of the team fantasy points. See Cooley below.

Washington is going to be a contendah this season. RB situation is murky & Cooley is going to be the 2nd best TE in the league this year. I think he may out produce S. Moss a high % of the time. Side note: anyone who put Gates here should think for half a second about matching up Gates FF total vs. the people who took Tomlinson.

Steve Smith defines the phrase "He's the man" when it comes to the Carolina team's fantasy production.

Hines Ward is the vet who knows how to get it done when it counts the most. Those crazy eyes remind me of Junior Seau every time I watch him play. No one loves the game of football more than Hines.

The Vinn is the only Indy player with a shot of out producing Peyton vs. Chicago. I hung my hat on Brees as my QB of choice.

Bears D is pretty simple. Between Hester and the ball hawking D, they have a realistic chance at scoring more TDs than Benson and Grossman combined.

QB - Brady (PATS)

RB - Tomlinson (SD)

RB - Bush (NO)

WR - Houshmanzadeh (CIN)

WR - Harrison (IND)

TE - Heap (BAL)

K - Akers (PHI)

D/ST - Chicago

Brady - Spreads it around, gets the stats

LT - No brainer. You don't leave the #1 fantasy stud out of the picture. Gates schmates...

Bush - Feast or famine....could score from anywhere

Housh - Coin flip, but everyone else picked his teammate

Harrison - The old man can still do it

Heap, Akers - I could've flipped and gone Smith/Stover, but wtf....

Chicago D - Another no-brainer...the only "stud" they have

Maybe I forgot how to read, but I thought the deadline was midnight last night :ninja:

Oh. Didn't look at that part. Just figured I could take a team up until the season started. If not, cool.

No big deal, CH. I have no problem with you being in it, I just think Mike should've locked the thread.

QB Tom Brady (Patriots)

RB Shaun Alexander (Seahawks)

RB Reggie Bush (Saints)

WR Terrell Owens (Cowboys)

WR Javon Walker (Broncos)

TE Antonio Gates (Chargers)

K David Akers (Eagles)

D/ST Chicago Defense (Bears)

Logic:

I'm somewhat confident the Pats will be in the SB, but can't be totally sure due to other factors like injury.

The other 2 AFC picks are just insurance. So more NFC players should be chosen to give more points opportunities here.

Senseless argument: The deadline was weak.

So I just put my predictions in if it counts or not, since the thread is still open.
