Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers - September 27

Recommended Posts

http://survivor.wikia.com/wiki/Survivor:_Heroes_vs._Healers_vs._Hustlers

Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers: The 18 contestants are divided into 3 tribes based on their personal traits:
The Levu tribe is the "Heroes" tribe, consisting of players who serve their duties heroically and courageously.
The Soko tribe is the "Healers" tribe, consisting of players who serve others by helping them heal physically or emotionally.
The Yawa tribe is the "Hustlers" tribe, consisting of players who are praised for their work ethic and who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals.
Hidden Immunity Idols: For this season clues for the regular idols will be etched on a tree. In addition to regular idols, before the marooning, a "super-idol", a Hidden Immunity Idol which can be used once a castaway receives enough votes to be voted out at Tribal Council rather than before the votes are read, will be planted beneath the supplies. Unlike its Panama, Cook Islands, Cagayan, and Kaôh Rōng counterparts, this idol can only be used during the first Tribal Council. If the finder's tribe wins the first Immunity Challenge, that player will have to somehow sneak the idol to the losing tribe.
Return of Previous Tiebreaker Rules: The revote, which was removed last season, will be reinstated this season.

I'm out as well. I used to love the show but am actually surprised this season isn't Heroes vs. Trannies vs. Queers.

Enough with the social commentary.

No, I would be terrible on Survivor. I could see you making the merge though, especially now.

I'm done with Survivor.

Final four was complete rigged.

You and your marine can fock right off.

Not only did he magically keep finding "hidden" idols (told were they were 'cough')

for the 1st time in 34 seasons, the final vote wasn't a vote and was fire

who is really going to make fire 1st, a Marine or a skaterboi

http://ew.com/tv/2017/12/20/survivor-finale-winner-heroes-healers-hustlers/

The winner of Survivor: Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers has been crowned, but only after a brand new twist enabled him to escape being voted out of the game. Ben Driebergen was awarded $1 million by the jury, but it’s a jury he would have been on himself had a format change not given him a second chance in the face of certain elimination.
After Chrissy Hofbeck won the final immunity challenge, she also received a note informing her that instead of voting out someone — as has happened at every non-final Tribal Council ever — she would be bringing someone (Ryan Ulrich, it turned out) with her to the end, and the other two people (Ben and Devon Pinto) would have to battle it out in a fire-making competition to advance. Seeing as how the other three players were all unanimously planning to vote Ben out because he was seen as the best player left, that meant Ben went from having zero chance of making the finals to a 50-percent chance.
Ben then defeated Devon and was rewarded with $1 million the next day by the jury for playing three straight immunity idols and surviving even when everyone wanted him out of the game for vote after vote. Those were accomplishments the jury deemed as more impressive than Chrissy sweeping the final three immunity challenges and tying the Survivor record for most individual immunity wins (four) by a woman. It was a final Tribal Council that also turned a bit testy as former island BFFs Chrissy and Ryan went at each other in the new open conversation format that replaced the standard Q&A setup starting last season.
Survivor nation will now debate whether the new final-four fire-making twist is a bold new stroke that adds both drama and another level of strategy and intrigue, or a cheat designed to give an extra boost to better players sure to be eliminated otherwise just before final Tribal (as has happened in the past to Malcolm in the Philippines, Kelley in Cambodia, and David in Millennials vs. Gen X). Some former Survivor players have already weighed in on Twitter.

Ha we just got to watch it tonight. I wondered the same things too. The show could be me out there for 39 days trying to find one Idol and I probably would never find it. This cat is finding them like they are just lying on the beach.

The fire thing was pretty sketchy because if you play that scenario out no matter who won immunity besides Ben.....ben was going to have to make fire against one of those schleps. When I saw that I said it's over. I hope a marine can make fire pretty damn quick.

Either way I was glad Ben won and I was pulling for him for a long time.

It's been pretty entertaining the last few weeks, but yeah there seems to be manipulation to some degree. I also don't like how much Probst outs players during tribal.

Yeah i mean the only thing is if Devin won...hes probably taking Ryan too...then she was going to have to do fire against Ben (which would have been comical) but i doubt Survivor wanted her not to make the finals.

That last episode was hilarious trying to make him stop looking for idols when he had one. Maybe my favorite tribal ever.

I prefer to think there is no manipulation. Makes it a really fun show to speedwatch on the dvr.

I find it hard to say he was the best player when his biggest move was to betray Chrissy led 7 alliance, when it immediately blew up in his face and made him the target #1 for the rest of the game. His win was based entirely on his luck in finding idols, not outwitting or out play. If Out Last is the social game aspect than, congrats Ben on having a sad story to tell, way to go, but that doesn't earn a vote in my book.

I don't care if it was fixed or not - and I don't think it was - it was awesome. Chrissy was just too focking smug.

Finding idols is part of playing the game just like anything else. Those other mooks should have been trying to beat him to the idol or at least watching him like a hawk. Instead they were sleeping. Maybe he didn't outplay them, but he sure outworked them.

Chrissy, Mike, and Devin got a feast in the middle of it. They should have been raring to go. Instead they came up with the fake idol plan and sat around on their asses.

Also, not taking Ryan on that reward was one of the coldest things I've seen. He was looking like the winner of Survivor Auschwitz at that point.

Maybe. Still if they are watching him they would have a chance to beat him to it or at least know he had it. They were asleep at the wheel.
