ESPN: Trent Dilfer, Ray Lewis, Cris Carter OUT

Recommended Posts

...Ditka being pulled from Countdown (but remains on network).

The new replacements are purported to be Randy Moss, Matt Hasselbeck and Charles Woodson.

I feel almost slobberingly grateful over the Dilfer departure: Look at the EYES!!

You won't ever see me and Lewis in the same place when he's wearing a white suit.

He's more camera - friendly now than he was as a player. Amazing how that works isn't it?

To me ESPN is unwatchable for football analysis. Well, other than Louis Riddick and maybe Jaws. I much prefer the NFL Network.

Choice... He wanted a shot at doing the Olympics.

Jaws is one of the absolute worst. I cant stand listening to him babble about nothing. He just throws key words in there to make you think he actually did his homework, but in reality he is just talking out his ass. I despise that lazy POS.

I don't watch ESPN, but I've been living / breathing FFL since Fall 1991. Dilfer was a nobody who got lucky and rode the coat-tails of one of the NFL's best defenses ever, and got a ring. Ray Lewis a punk. I was astounded that whichever network had the Superbowl that year, kicked it off with around 20 seconds of Ray Lewis SPITTING AT THE CAMERA??? And, Cris Carter dug his own grave with the "make sure one of your posse is YOUR Fall Guy!!!" comment.

I always thought the NFL films breakdown shows he did for HBO were some of the best on the air. In his defense Jaws probably has never fully recovered from the traumatizing he received from Rod Martin in the 1980 Super Bowl.

I'm glad Lewis is out. I can watch Countdown again. They need to move Boomer out to pasture. Good guy, but come on man. He's 90 years old?????

I always liked Dilfer, but I knew he wasn't long for ESPN when he criticized Tebow too much. He tried to soften up on him, but the damage was done.

The worst is Gruden. He's terrible! Everyone is the best thing since sliced bread. Now, Caliendo doing Gruden. That's good stuff!

No way. Gruden is probably the greatest man in American history. Maybe just below Ben Franklin.

This is true.

Caliendo is also tired and they need someone else for comedy. Riggle is great.

That had less than nothing to do with why he's gone.

You can dislike him, and there's nothing wrong with that, but literally everything you said about him is wrong.
