THE BOOM!

Recommended Posts

The next Jonas Gray. A journey RB who climbed the depth chart due to injury with the starter. In a extremely good football team with plenty of chance to score.

Here comes the Boom!

Just when you think the news couldn't get any better, FF god stuck Trent Richardson with an illness, so he missed today's practice.

I hate to do it, but I have a strong WRs crop, so I dropped Sanu for the Boom!

I wanna pick him up because Richardson sucks. But can't pull the trigger. Just don't see more than a few touches to spell Richardson, and I don't see him involved in GL packages.

And unless he's a good receiver, I don't think he'll do much else. Jonas Gray had as many carries against the Colts as Boom will probably have the rest of the year. Colts just don't run it that much.

But....Richardson sucks....so there's a chance he carves out a decent role on a very good offense. :dunno:

That's why no one claimed him in WW. Took me few days to decide, rather is it worth it to gamble. Dropped Denver D and Sanu for him in two league. He is just in such a good spot to thrive. He is in the NFL, so he must be half decent.

Well, TRich is not a special talent by any stretch, either. Does that mean he is due for 4TDs?

I was an owner of TRich last year, 1 TD is already heaven for this guy. TRich shouldn't even be in NFL period.

Why not? The biggest concern is the simple fact that Indy doesn't run it much. However, he does only have TRich in front of him, and he can catch the ball outta the backfield. He has legit collegiate credentials (O State Buckeye) and ran 18 times for 104 yards in preseason (5.78 ypc), adding 10 receptions. Stranger things have happened. The KEY will be his receiving skills....if he has them, he could fall right into the Bradshaw role.

(check out the Kirk Cousins stats being rolled at the bottom of the screen as this video starts...lol)

More of a thud than a boom.

Colts seem to love RBs who look like they're running in quicksand. Herron is the AFC Asiata....without the GL work.

I grabbed the Boom in my money league, dropping McKinnon. I'd rather have 1/2 of the running game in Indy than 1/3 of the running game than Minny.

lol horrible call, Mckinnon is a workhorse this week

Probably better than T-Rich, though.

Probably better than T-Rich, though.

T Rich has been the #29 Rb in PPR this league getting less than half his teams touches. Move him up to 70% and he just may surprise some people.

or he could avg 1.7 ypc and finally force the colts to come to terms with the fact the browns fleeced them.

Read one beat writer that said: "Herron should push double-digit carries in Week 12 against a Jaguars defense that ranks 26th in the NFL against the run."

We shall see.

That would be cool but unexpected. I wonder what made him assume that.

Probably based solely on TRich's (under)performance.

Wait a sec, which beat writer?

This is where I see this piece:

http://www.pennlive.com/fantasy_football/2014/11/fantasy_football_week_12_runni.html

That's a sports columnist for the newspaper in Harrisburg PA, so it's not like he's the Indy beat writer. He also has Trent Richardson ranked as the no. 13 RB this week. He could be right by the way, maybe Herron and TR both do well.

I doubt very much that Indy is going to expose TRich to failure; not because of the (lack of) merits of TRich, but because I do not think that Indy management wants to look like fleeced imbeciles.

It's like that special ed kid that you allow to flop about in the shallow end of the pool with his water wings. You yell words of encouragement while he froths up 3' deep water and projects a beaming smile, thinking that he's actually swimming. You know you can't throw him into the deep end, or he'll drown.

I think that's TRich. If you throw Boom into the deep end, and he drowns, well...he had no expectations, and Indy doesn't look nearly as stupid. Luck makes Indy one of the most RB friendly clubs in the league, and TRich can't explode.

Nope: Herron is going to get exactly the action that Bradshaw did, and he'll do well with it. IMO, Herron is a better inside-the-tackles runner than Bradshaw, and a slightly worse outside runner/receiver. I think it'll wash to nearly identical production, and Indy won't have to face the media barrage about TRich expectations.

I hate you for posting that very sensible and logical response. B)

I'll change my lineup back and forth 50 times before game time.

For those of you who are calling for a TRich revival:

Do you think that Indy would trade TRich to OAK for Latavius Murray straight up, and do you think that OAK would accept?

I think you have your answer on TRich. He's never going to be good. Never.

The raiders would of course because they are focking retarded and the ghost of al davis haunts their decisions. The colts would not though because even though it would give them the ability to fleece someone else it would also cause them to admit that their deal was a bad one.

So Boom's gonna be a top 10 RB rest of the way? Cuz that was Bradshaw's level of production.
