mighty_thor 115 Posted November 23, 2015 I remember seeing Palestinians celbrating the 9/11 attacks but I never remember any muslims in the USA celebrating. It seems to me that they would have been signing their own death sentences if they had. No American would have put up with that. Trump remembers that happening and he won't back down from it. Carson remembers it too. Did they show this on Fox News? Just curious if anyone else remembers seeing this. Washington (CNN)Donald Trump twice repeated over the weekend that he saw people cheering in New Jersey after the September 11 attacks -- but his claims are being widely disputed as false. Trump first made the claim at a campaign rally in Alabama on Saturday, where he said he "watched the World Trade Center go down" and watched in New Jersey, "as thousands of people were cheering as the building was coming down." He doubled down on those claims in an interview Sunday with ABC's "This Week," even as George Stephanopoulos pushed back. RELATED: Trump calls for mosque surveillance "There were people that were cheering on the other side of New Jersey where you have large Arab populations," Trump said. "They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down. I know it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as that building came down." "Police say it didn't happen," Stephanopoulos pressed, to which Trump said he saw it himself on television. Trump claimed: "It was well covered at the time." But numerous publications and local politicians have said Trump is incorrect. Both Politifact and The Washington Post's Fact Checker analyzed Trump's claim. Politifact rated it "pants on fire" and The Washington Post gave it "four Pinocchios." Neither outlet could find any news reports that corroborate Trump's account of events. There were a few reports of rumors that there were celebrations in New Jersey, along with images of Palestinians celebrating overseas that were broadcast locally. KSB2424 3,083 Posted November 23, 2015 Understandable, wasn't that big of a deal. Not sure what this means. Trump makes up crap all the time, he's a blowhard. But if I'm to fairly answer the OP's question....I don't remember any coverage of any Muslim groups here in America that were caught celebrating..

Mungwater 588 Posted November 23, 2015 Not defending Trump, but there are so many that continue to support various politicians, and they lie ALL the time The lies bother me but I think I've gotten used to it. What concerns me more about the politicians lying is so many of what they say happened on tape. Like the Hillary in Bosnia running from sniper fire, they all take us for a group of fools. Voltaire 4,558 Posted November 23, 2015 I watched tons of 911 coverage at the time seeing as I was underemployed then but always a news junkie. I remember Palestinians celebrating and was disgusted, if anyone in the US had made news celebrating, I would remember it.

titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted November 24, 2015 I don't remember that, and I watched the news all day long that day. I remember the Tennessee national guard being called out. I remember having to abandon my car on campus for two days, because there was a rush on the gas stations and I couldn't buy gas.

KSB2424 3,083 Posted November 24, 2015 Well it looks like somebody in the GOP is finally standing up to the Bully. http://nypost.com/2015/11/24/kasich-goes-for-the-jugular-in-latest-trump-attack-ads/ The videos are funny. IGotWorms 3,314 Posted November 24, 2015 I was personally out in the streets with tassels and streamers. Several of my libtard friends joined in. The past few elections have been a circus show Right wingers like KSB will vote for whoever the GOP nominates. I'd vote for Sanders and would look at O'Malley if he gained any traction. I'd probably also vote for Kasich. I'd definitely consider Rubio as long as he doesn't go hardcore right wing. Would not vote for any of the other GOP nut jobs. (Mayyyybe Christie, but probably not.) Really do not want have to vote for Clinton but I would if she were up against Cruz, Carson, Trump or any of those other whack jobs and imbeciles

I appreciate your concern and the fact you are thinking of me, but I already answered the question posed for myself. You seem more surly today than normal. Rarely actually contributing to any threads or the topic at hand but rather randomly and unprovoked attacking individual Geeks. Bert this, or BLS that, or KSB this, or RLLD that. Sho Nuff 719 Posted November 24, 2015 You also seem to prefer Rino's and or not a chance in hell. I prefer those who are not completely controlled by the far right lunatic portion of the party. Those who would work with both sides to get things done rather than the same partisan bickering and obstruction we have now. I prefer someone who will be at least somewhat conservative fiscally but more liberal socially.
