Spinoff: Worst Portrayal of a Character

Tim Robbins, Ebby 'Nuke' LaLoosh---Baseball pitcher. He got the 5 cent head part down, not so much the million dollar arm.

What would happen first: Tim Robbins throwing a strike, or Teen Wolf era Michael J. Fox making a free throw?

What always bothered me, besides that kid named chubby, was the other team guy was standing below the basket when he shot free throws.

Adam Sandler as the star athlete/former pro in a sports movie. Doesn't matter which one - pick one.

Marky Mark as Bob Lee Swagger in Shooter. In the books Bob Lee was a legendary Vietnam War sniper. I guess the blame should go more on the writers but they really focked over a great character.

I'd totally forgotten the jump shot free throws(sorry, couldn't find a good video of them, but they are there).

Kevin Costner in Robin Hood: Pronce of Thieves. I actually like that movie quite a bit, but his acting was atrocious.

I liked the fact the he didn't even attempt an English accent. The American Robin Hood. :pointstosky:

How about Sean Connery in Highlander? I actually like him in the role but just how did that casting discussion go...

"We need a Spanish guy!"

"Sean Connery?"

"Perfect!"

Along the same lines and I don't really want to put it here...but a Russian sub captain with a Scottish accent?

Thought he was great as Ramius though.

I put the over/under on the number of times they had to shoot the layup scene at 25.

Teen Wolf came out when VCRs were huge for my generation. Looking back, it's pretty horrible but you ask anyone my age who Boof is, and they all know.

Also, the scene at the end with the guy jerking it in the stands. :D

I love the football movie North Dallas Forty but watching Mac Davis as a star qb was painful.

Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher

I actually thought he pulled it off fantastically - one of his better roles.

Rosie O' Donnell as Betty Rubble. She had the laugh down, but that was it. Betty was supposed to be focking hawt.

Steve Martin as the mobster in my blue heaven

No way...he was great, Intentionally absurd.

Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Thinking Denise Richards in that Bond movie, but I would have cast her in anything I could back then.

Great flick, Cruise was great and he's doing a sequel I believe.

Simple Jack? That's like Stillers shining role, your insane!

Teen wolf, still good and a classic. But your tongues naysayers.

Costner in almost anything. He is probably the worst big name actor. At least Nick Cage has had a couple great performances(Leaving Las Vegas, Lord of War) and is somewhat entertaining even in his stinky roles(most of the rest). Costner is just a bore.

 Or Kevin Costner as Wyatt Earp.

I thought he did a great job. :dunno:

His supporting cast was no where as good as Kurts, but still
