Ray_T 589 Posted August 17, 2016 Hi, just thought I'd get an opinion on fair trade value. I draft in the #10 slot in a 12 team league. (We are allowed to keep 3) My potential keepers include: Hopkins Ty Hilton Doug Martin Aaron Rodgers. His potential keepers are: Lacy Desean Jackson M. Evans Matt Ryan He has the #1 overall pick in the first round. I have the #10 overall pick in the first round. he would like to upgrade his keepers, and I would like a shot at Zeke. I also wouldnt mind getting my hands on Lacy either. As I am only allowed to keep 3, I thought I'd see if I could acquire Lacy, or the #1 pick. Can I get some ideas on what you think it would take to get him to pull the trigger? The way I figure, with the keepers he's got, it will take at least 2 years to rebuild to a point where he is competitive. so if I offered him TY Hilton(or Martin) and Aaron Rodgers along with my #10 overall pick do you think he would be inclinded to send Lacy and his #1 overall pick? Thoughts? Other options?
Byrdman5 104 Posted August 18, 2016 Keeper league with no value for the keepers u decide to keep? I think he would take it. I just don't see why u would get rid of Rodgers.

polecatt 402 Posted August 18, 2016 I would give it a shot but I personally wouldn't do the trade. It's basically Rodgers and whichever of the 2 for Lacy and moving down 9 picks. Rodgers for Lacy, okay but either of the other 2 for Zeke is terrible for him. You are not really giving him anything extra with the draft pick due to roster restraints, at least that's how I see it. I would think it would take Rodgers and Hopkins.
CHOPPS4312 0 Posted August 18, 2016 Here's my thought process on these type of trades. Don't trade a roster spot for a draft pick if you're going to pick the same roster spot with the pick. For instance if you traded Hopkins for the first overall and then drafted a WR out with, Brown, Jones, and maybe Beckham are the only three that would be an improvement over Hopkins. Even if you're trading him to draft somewhere else, he's top 12-15 depending on where you look. And I'd imagine those players are all being kept as well. Straight up no good. However when you start looking at moving multiple people it gets easier to get fair value for both sides. Lacy and Martin have RB's behind them that'll take plays away from both. Your pick, Martin, Hopkins, for his pick Lacy, Jackson should be fair. I wouldn't do both Rodgers and Hopkins. That first overall pick I don't think values as much when you're losing the top QB and a top 5 WR to get it.

I was hoping to trade Rodgers and TY Hilton along with the #10 overall pick for the #1 overall pick and Eddie Lacy. My keepers would then be Hopkins, Lacy, and Martin. His keepers would presumably be Rodgers, TY, and DeSean or Evans.
