chcougar1 6 Posted August 21, 2016 Need some help with my roster in my dynasty league. It is a 10 team, standard scoring (non-PPR) league. We start 1QB, 1RB, 2 WR, 2 FLEX (RB/WR/TE), 1 TE, 1 D/ST, 1K. We held our rookie draft last weekend and I drafted Michael Thomas (NO) and DeAndre Washington. The way it works is we pick up our rookies if we want them. If we dont pick them up by the season kickoff, they are fair game on waivers for anyone. We have 18 roster spots and Im trying to decide if either or both of my rookie picks are worth replacing anyone on my current roster. What do you guys think? QB: Cam Newton, Dak Prescott (picked him up on a whim because he went un-drafted & I only had Cam) RB: Adrian Peterson, David Johnson, LeVeon Bell, DeAngelo Williams, Melvin Gordon, Jerrick McKinnon WR: D. Hopkins, Dez Bryant, D. Moncrief, Jordan Matthews, M. Sanu, Martavis Bryant TE: Reed, Ertz D/ST: Bengals K: Bailey and no....Ive never won the championship in this league (this is the 5th year) and that blows my mind with this lineup. My initial thoughts are that it is tough to bring in either rookie at this point. The only potential question marks for me are Prescott and Sanu and POSSIBLY McKinnon. Thoughts on these players are: Prescott: I know this is a complete reach grabbing him but I need a back-up QB to Cam and this guy looks sharp should Romo go down. As I am typing this though, there are probably better QBs I could grab later on if Cam goes down. The only thing that has be interested in him is that this is a dynasty league and he has looked great in preseason so far. Sanu: Lots of people dont like him, but my thoughts are that he is the #2 in Atlanta. He has to have a big year right? Is Michael Thomas a better option? I think it remains to be seen and it makes it hard for me to make the switch. McKinnon: I initially dropped him for Prescott, but got him back by dropping Danny Woodhead (hoping Gordon actually pans out and I dont have to rely on a 32 year old running back in a dynasty league). I would like to keep him as APs handcuff and presumptive replacement at some point. I think Thomas and Washington will both be good dynasty players down the line I just dont know if they are worth the roster spots right now. Thoughts are appreciated. Thanks! rholio 339 Posted August 21, 2016 I like Thomas over Sanu based on upside. I think Thomas is more talented and may be the #2 in New Orleans this season. Prescott has had two great preseason games and I would see if he has any trade value right now. He's not really an option as a #2 QB unless Romo goes down. Any Cowboy fans in your league?
chcougar1 6 Posted August 22, 2016 Not so much haha. Maybe I will just drop Dak to pick up Thomas and pick up a QB on waivers if Cam goes down.
montana 89 Posted August 22, 2016 I would keep Prescott in a dynasty w/o hesitation. I'd probably drop M. Bryant & grab Mike Thomas.
chcougar1 6 Posted August 22, 2016 M. Bryant taking up a roster spot all year definitely sucks but he is a beast when he plays. Tough decisions.
