Recommended Posts

Are they as crazy at work as they are outside of work? I don't really work with them. Though there was one who I worked with, she was absolutely bat shlt crazy

The one I work with makes me want to stick burrowing insects into my ears, in hopes of deafening me, and eventually putting me out of my misery alltogether.

most of the mature, intelligent, qualified, professional women that I know absolutely would rather work with men than other women. They have the highest disdain for the worst in women. Because they make all women look bad.

It's not popular to say so, but check the intelligence level and professional level of those that most frequently dip into the old sexual harassment oat bag. Almost always it is the bottom of the barrel. And for those who have risen to a level above middle management? They feel that they need to be some kind of tyrannical just to get along with the mean boys. So, there's no winning.

Still, there are more women whom I respect than those that I don't.

Most were just trying to do their job without some Lech staring down their blouse or some bubble headed bleach blonde making her entire gender look like idiots.

Dirty laundry quotes now? Don Henley?

Nope. Not that bad. Only the really hot one that we all want to bone is actually crazy. We all joke who is going to take one for the team and end up with his pet rabbit boiled or memeber chopped off.

I work with a bunch of women. In general they are more detail oriented and rigid regarding rules in the workplace. They also talk too damn much. But I think they make better physicians, at least internists.

I agree with the detail oriented and rigid regarding rules parts.

Which can be a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes they get lost in the details and miss the big picture.

The women I work with are all old Indian women. Like 60 plus. If they were younger the crazy would probably be there. But at this age they are waiting to be grandma's.

I work in engineering and the entire leadership team is women which is rare. They do a fine job.

It reinforces my theory, though, that specific groups will be inclined to hire thier group subset because women are about 30% of the engineering community. Having 80% of leadership be women would require bias.

30% in engineering seems way too high, especially your industry. Which I guess further proves your point.

That being said, women in engineering are typically fine. It is as egalitarian of a field as there is. Do your job and nobody cares what sex you are.

It has changed quite a bit. We are 39% female right now and it was far lower 6-8 years ago.

As a teacher, I of course work with mostly women. Its me and two other dudes, and a horde of chicks.

They pretty much leave us alone. They are always obsessed with some dumbass thing we dont care about. Decorating the office. Whatever ridiculous festival is next week.

They used to bug me about crap like that. Theyve finally figured out that I dont care. If they want a guest appearance by the dancing white monkey at some function, tell me when where and what, and leave me alone.

One thing is certain:

Middle-aged men in the workplace would not take time out of their day to sit around and make small talk while eating cake and ice cream once a month for whoever's birthday or whatever.

What are we, 5?

Yeah. Fock work social occasions of any kind.

On teachers day, they celebrated by hanging out in 90+ degree heat on the playground. After class on a Friday. I went home. Fock that.

I met my wife at work. She was way better at her job than I was. Organized, detailed, dependable.

Theyre not all bad. Just most of them.

My boss is a woman and although I have pretty much always done her job for her she is more and more giving working mothers a bad rap.

Has a 2 year old and always leaving - Asking me to attend her meetings and report back to her. It's always something.

Nanny didn't show up. Husband out of town etc etc.

I'd say she's banging someone else and using the kid as an excuse.
