Interesting side note. This is really what I was hoping for from Trevor Noah. If you listen to his stand-up prior to the Daily Show, it kind of leaned towards one basic theme. African Americans think they are the only people on the planet who got it so damn bad.

 

When in fact, a guy like Trevor Noah is from South Africa and he knows what's so damn bad really means and looks like.

I don't have anything against blacks. I judge people on the content of their character not the color of their skin. I consider MLK and Rosa Parks to be heroes. The problem, so far as I can tell, is that whereas I stopped at color blind, race neutral, and equality with regards to race, the liberals went beyond it.

 

My beef is with Affirmative Action and Black Lives Matter and other liberal anti-cop, pro-kneeler, soft-on-crime groups. Affirmative Action particularly grinds me for how overtly, proudly, racist it is. It's utter anathema. I have a special disdain and disgust towards liberals with prestigious newspaper/TV bully puppet jobs and nice cars who grew up in upper middle class racially segregated communities who lecture me and try to point out to me how privileged I am because of the color of my skin. It's absurd. I am not privileged at all. When they take their own privilege and project it on me, the absurdity is transparent. I can't digest it. I spit it back in their face.

 

Privilege follows income not race. Since the vast majority of blacks and nearly all whites had more income than my family did when I was a kid. It grates me more than any other issue. Poor kids come in all races and are not the same as black kids who, in turn, come on all different income brackets.

 

I'll admit I'm 'more privleged' than black kids that grew up south of 8 Mile in Coleman Young's urban black cop-bashing paradise. But that's about the extent of it. More often than not the beneficiaries of Affirmative Action programs are black kids who grew up more priveledged than white kids where I live. And with regards to criminals, I have a very low regard for them, my heart goes out crime vicitims, not criminals. Consequently, I like cops a lot and tend to give them the benefit of the doubt. But not always as you'll notice. You may have taken notice that sometimes, when the facts justify it, I am on your side. I'd like to remind you that we saw eye-to-eye on Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner and others.

 

Now if you hit me with homophobic or transphobic, I think there might be something there. I don't mind people living their lives how they want, who am I to tell them what to do. But now they want society to accept and fully embrace it, shut down debate, punish bakers, allow men in the girl's room, I'm not there. I barely, barely, barely came to begrudgingly accept the gay marriage debate, then when I started getting run over with gay-everything everywhere. I went back in my cave and regretted not joining up with the frothing-at-the-mouth fundies and telling them to fock off when I had the chance.
