Looking for a lawn tractor

Recommended Posts

Im tired of pushing my lawn. Front yard is sloped but shouldnt be a problem.

Looking at cub cadet xt1 42 inch tractor enduro series.

Kohler engine... mows in reverse and has cruse control.

4 anti scalp wheels on deck and washing port. Easy oil change

1500 bucks.

Ive looked at husqvarna and john deere but this seems the better choice.

Not a millionaire. So 1500 is my limit on price.

Anyone have this or any ideas?

Have you tried keeping the lawn stationary and pushing the mower? :dunno:

My neighbor has one and seems to like it. How large is your lawn? I know you said 1500 is your limit but for another 200 bucks you can get the 46 inch cut and the V-Twin 22 hp Kohler.

I have a large lawn and my old 42 inch deck took forever.

I looked at that and heard the fabricated deck is nice on that model. I think that has a pto clutch as well

One thing to consider is if it's the same price from a local dealer as opposed to Home Depot, I would buy from the dealer.

Cub Cadet is ok. Have a few of them at the baseball fields. I have a 22HP Craftsman 42 in that I like. Low turning radius and it is fast. I have actually only used it 2 times in the last 15 months because my son uses it all the time.

My lawn takes me about 90 mins to 2 hours to cut pushing

Fawk that! Are you insane? Get a used snapper riding mower. After you spend half the time on a used snapper you can ride the Mrs used snapper.

If you have much for obstacles in your yard you should consider a zero-turn. You will pay a little more but they are incredibly maneuverable.

I wont own anything with a Kohler anymore. Ive had a powerwashing side biz for a long time and used to run Kohler engines. Theyre no more dependable than a good Briggs, but the parts and service are outrageous. Buyer beware.
