Michael Reagan - Men could sue women who wear low-cut dresses for ‘sexual arousal’

Recommended Posts

Taking to social media to seemingly defend the recently-fired Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, Michael Reagan – the son of former President Ronald Reagan – sent a series of tweets about sexual harassment that many have deemed offensive.
Reagan – who serves as the president of the Reagan Legacy Foundation – tweeted early Friday, “Hot Chocolate used to be a compliment on your looks today it is called sexual harassment..@oreillyfactor.”
He added in another Tweet, “If women are going to wear low cut dresses that show cleavage don’t be harassed when we men look. or should we sue for sexual arousal?”
Reagan is the adopted son of the former president and actress Jane Wyman.
On Wednesday, 21st Century Fox issued a statement stating that the network and O’Reilly have agreed that he wouldn’t return following mounting sexual harassment allegations. Earlier this month, The New York Times reported that five women were paid a collective $13 million for agreeing not to file lawsuits or speak publicly about allegations that O’Reilly harassed them.
Another woman who has since come forward, Perquita Burgess, told The View on Thursday that while working as a temp at Fox News, O’Reilly once called her “hot chocolate” – likely the comment Reagan, 72, was referencing.

I mean he wasn't being serious and is kind of making a good point. To me he is just pointing out that claims of sexual harassment have gotten out of control. Not saying O'Reilly did or didn't do it, but I see the point he is trying to make.

It should be illegal to dress like a wh0re and then when you went shopping for your daughters clothes you could actually find a pair of jeans that aren't jeggings.

Sounds like a Muslim blaming the woman for getting raped

One of the claims of sexual harassment was that he looked at her. And she felt uncomfortable. That's not sexual harassment. That's a gold digger which is probably what 90 percent of these things are.

Very misleading title to the article. His point was that women should not dress like a slut if they don't want men to look at them sexually, which IMO is a valid point. :dunno:

We hear that same sentiment a lot. IMO we are sending the wrong message to the wimmen folk. We should be assuring them that no matter how slutty they dress we WON'T look. We want them to feel comfortable dressing as slutty as they want.

The irony in all of it is the only reason a woman would wear something slutty is to attract more looks, yet when it happens they call it harassment.

It's not sexual harassment if someone looks. And you're right, when women dress in low cut tops, they want men to notice their cleavage. But that doesn't include leering at them and licking their lips. Or making sexual comments. Bill O'Reilly hasn't settled five sexual harassment lawsuits because he just happened to notice the women were wearing sexy outfits.
