Marshall 98 Posted April 8, 2017 Have they changed at all, or are they as BS and irrelevant as ever? After the ensuing outrage when Dez Bryant was infamously asked if his mother was a prostitute during a predraft interview in 2010, I'd assumed that that sort of thing was no longer happening. Coming across a post today with some inappropriate (to put it mildly) questions that DE Austen Lane had been asked, it looked like business as usual: 'I see you have dreads, you smoke weed don't you?' 'If you had to murder someone, would you use a gun or a knife?' 'If you could kill someone and not get caught, would you?' 'Do you think your mother is attractive?' ...but after a little research, learned that those questions were from the same 2010 predraft as the DB debacle, so again, the assumption that that crap was in the past. Then, after a bit more digging, found out that just a year ago (2016) S Jalen Mills was asked the very same question that Lane was: ...Mills said one NFL team asked him if he would use a gun or a knife to kill someone. Mills did not specify which team asked him the question, though he said the team graded his answer based on the weapon he chose: "If you choose the knife, you know, now you're killing for fun...because you have to continuously stab somebody with it."... ...so apparently, this WTF bullcrap may still be going on. If so, it's yet another argument for ignoring predraft 'reports' - particularly when they claim to have information regarding a potential player's 'character'. https://twitter.com/LeftSentThis/status/850051511006527489/photo/1 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2629251-jalen-mills-says-nfl-team-asked-how-he-would-kill-someone-in-interview
Smileseers 54 Posted April 19, 2017 I think that the answer the team is looking for is "next question please." "Neither" would be a good response.
phillygrrl08 139 Posted April 19, 2017 How about, "The last person who asked me that hasn't been heard from in years."
