    Ronnie Brown vs Vikings

Yeah, that just might be the reason why I don't start him this week either. His hammy and Mularkey seem to be enough of a combination. The possibility of Miami having him run outside and, as Isk just said, passing it off to him will prevent the decision from being definite for now at least. If I do, however, decide to bench him, you think I should start Thomas Jones alongside Julius Jones, or should I make it a 3WR day? I got Chad and Keyshawn Johnson as my starting WRs, will keep them both in. If I do go the 3WR route, who out of the Rams' Holt, and the Steelers' Cedric Wilson & Nate Washington should I put in off the bench?

    Taylor or J Jones

I have Julius Jones in my backfield and am going to confortably keep him in the starting lineup. Indy's suspect D will finally catch up with their entire team this week. I see the Boys getting things done on both sides of the ball this week handing Indy their first (and convincing) loss of the year. I think Miami, or at least their D, will make quite a closing statement from here on out giving them something to build on for next season. If it were me? Definitely Jones over Chester.

    Week #11 team-D question

My starting D is New England (@GB), second D is Seattle (@SF), and I'm a bit tempted to snatch Kansas City's D from the waiver wire if just for this week being that they're home against Oakland. What move would you make? If the season ended last Sunday I'd be a half game out! I'm up against against my division leader this week who I'm two and a half games behind and just so happens to be best-record-in-the-league. Got to keep my 4 game win-streak going, no room for error. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Certainly got some great help on this site last week and to all of you, thanks again.

    Week #11 team-D question

Should I keep Pats' D (@GB) in the starting lineup again or start Seattle (@SF) or...should I snatch KC's from the waiver wire just for this week being that they're home against Oakland?

Barely in the race in my league, no room for error here on out

Yeah, what was I ever (over) thinking? Decided to do the obvious - Brady at QB, JJones/RBrown in the backfield, Keyshawn and CHAD JOHNSON at WR (Thank God I did that)! Acquired the Pats' D and started em (totally dismissed that ridiculous idea to get Lions' D just for this week (lol). As we end the 1:00 games, looks to be a good move so far. Thanks for the help, gang!

Mike Martz may be in line for the Cardinal's job

Just remember one thing - Martz inherited Vermeil's Rams. Of course he, as an OC suggesting the change in offensive philosophy, should get almost-equal credit (a la Buddy Ryan '85 Bears) for that '99 championship, but as a head man, we all saw what happened. If Vermeil is still Rams' head guy two years later, Bellichick/Brady Era in New England on hold for at least another year. Maybe Martz is what Dennis Green needed down in the desert in the first place. Just like Buddy was never a head coach, neither is Martz. Not a good idea for him to HC down there; especially (echoing previous posts) with his ego; he and Bidwell would never mesh.

    taking Gobble's advice.....

.....I've decided to, indeed, not start either Seattle nor Washington's D this week (heck, I may even drop the latter from my roster altogether). I see Minnesota (vsGB) and Detroit (vsSF) in the waivers. Vikes D's been pretty solid all year and they're at home against the Pack this week. But then you got the Lions also at home against........Frisco . The latter would simply have to be the choice here. Plus, I can't disrespect Favre. He still can have a good game any given day. While I'm at it, however, I do see that the Pats' D is also up for grabs. Perhaps take that for future use. Not for this week though due to my 'suspicions' about this Jets game. Again taking the advice of Gobble, I won't 'overthink' Brady, but perhaps I'll save the D for next week (against........GB ) and weeks beyond. Perhaps, for the playoffs .
  9. Brady or Rivers is my first question. The common take is that because of Brady and NE's performance against Indy, that they will immediately right ship this week destroying the Jets. I, however, have a sneaking suspicion their off-play may spill over into yet another week before things become normal again; especially against a team who, mainly due to their new head coach, obviously knows a thing or two about them (mirror). Is starting Rivers instead over Cincy's obviously suspect D the right choice, even though it's at Cincy and the Bengals (as well as their D) may be 'due'? Back to NYJ@NE, I even got a suspicion Jets may win this outright, even if it's at Gilette, and even have this instinct to..........start Leon Washington. Thomas Jones I'm not completely reluctant to start either. Giants D's got injuries and I think the Bears on both sides of the ball may very well respond to all this sudden 'over-rated' talk. Currently I got J Jones and R Brown in my backfield and most-likely will both stay there, but I'm just a bit tempted with either of the other two. I may even keep just Julius as RB and fill the RB/WR spot with a third WR. SHOULD I start 3 WRs? Anyway, here is my entire roster, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. QB - Tom Brady NE (@NYJ), Philip Rivers SD (@CIN) RB - Julius Jones DAL (@AZ), Ronnie Brown MIA (KC), Thomas Jones CHI (@NYG), Leon Washington NYJ (@NE) WR - Chad Johnson CIN (SD), Keyshawn Johnson CAR (TB), Isaac Bruce STL (@SEA), Cedric Wilson PIT (NO), Nate Washington PIT (NO); thinking of maybe starting the last two here on the hunch that the 'Burgh (mainly BEN) finally breaks out of their funk and does it big against due-for-a-loss Saints TE - Heath Miller PIT (NO), Desmond Clark TE (@NYG); even if Giant's D's injuries do get the worst of them, gotta go with Heath still D - Seattle (STL), Washington (@PHI); getting a funny hunch about starting Redskins here (?) No way, right?
