New CBS show: racist?

Its called The Neighborhood. Black family lives in an all black community and loves that its all black. White neighbors move in next door and wrecks the neighborhood. A lot of people are saying its racist and if the roles were reversed it wouldnt even premier. What do you guys think?

I would bet that there is a larger % of black racists in this country than there are white racists.

 

This TV show is reacting off of the old All in the Family episodes where the Jeffersons move in next to the Bunkers. Sounds like someone is trying to turn the table on that from something that was made like 40 years ago.

 

Good job obama, bringing back racism to it's best.

I think it's good to laugh at our differences like we used to do. I hope it's funny and I'm sure I'll watch to learn what we're currently allowed to call colored folk, black people, African Americans, them people when referencing them people in conversation.

I liked the dark hair slut from 2 broke girls. Way better in alot of areas I bet. I dated a version of the blonde for a few years. Beautiful but just boring as hell.

To me its a terrible show that will get canceled during or after the first season. I can understand Schmidt and the blonde girls trying to find new shows after their long running ones ended but I dont think this is the one

It might be that they are playing on the idea that when AA's move into a white neighborhood the perception is that THEY ruin the place. I wonder if they will touch on how wrong it is to allow ghettoization and then also gentrification.

 

It seems as though the "protest" evolves based on what is disliked that day....but you cannot apply logic to notions that lack it...not unlike cops being the problem in relations between AA's and law enforcement. When you never hold yourself accountable, you only hurt yourself in the end.

For a year I lived in a neighborhood where I was the only white guy for many blocks around. That was a while back. Only my garage got robbed. I definitely kept to myself though. It was not a middle class neighborhood by any means. Cheap cheap rent.

I went to a diverse high school. Never even thought of changing who I was to fit in with any group. I guess the younger television audience sees race a lot more than I did as a kid.

Ive said this before, but my final year of high school was Bushs last year in office. I RARELY experienced racism except on a few occasions from the overly ghetto blacks or the redneck whites. Things were cool. I have a family member attending the same school in the same city right now and they said its just apart of everyday life. You hear thats racist on a daily basis. Kids worrying if what they are saying, crazy. Thanks Obama.
