I cry like a little b1tch when I hear this song.

Reason why: Elton John was my mother's favorite singer and this was her favorite song. Fock, I am tearing up just making this post. She died in August of 2014. You would think I would be better by now.

I picked two of the songs that were played at her funeral, both from Elton John. Here is the other one.

One of my all time favorite artists. A handful of songs could be considered my favorite. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road has a personal meaning. But this song has always been tough to beat imo.

Can't stand Elton John. Hate all of his songs. Except that one... oh, and that one. Wait, plus that one, and tha... fock, I'm an Elton John fan, aren't I? Great musician, and great choices listed above.

Heres another favorite, performed on Soul Train, of all places. The dude dancing directly behind Elton is hilarious, popping and locking, etc.

When I was younger all he was to me was the guy that wrote The Lion King soundtrack, as I've gotten older I have discovered how much of a genius he is.

He had/has a lyricist who collaborated with him and who wrote most of his hits.

Lot of great songs posted. Here is a duet.

I can't put my finger on why, but I find Kiki Dee so hot in this video. I think it is her hair and voice. Check out those dungarees.

you guys realize he's a h0m0.

My gaydar was completely broken as a kid and I liked his music before I knew he was gay. Later, when I found out he was gay, I didn't backtrack and didn't hold it against him although it did make it more difficult to praise the guy online.

Quite possibly my favorite album of all time was Elton's Live in Australia, where he performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. The first four songs were ones I had never heard before, and two of them are among my all time favorites. The first is The Greatest Discovery. If you've had a younger sibling, look up the lyrics, and listen here to a remarkable song. I learned to play this (sorta) on piano and played it for my kids when they were youngs.

The second is Tonight, musically awesome and lyrically one of the most real songs about struggles in a relationship. I also learned to fake this on piano, not as well though.
