He's been "out of favor" for 2 or 3 years now and yet last year he outscored:
Corey Dillon, Curtis Martin, Michael Bennett, Warrick Dunn, Marcell Shipp, Garrison Hearst, Antowain Smith, James Stewart, Edgerrin James, Moe Williams, Stephen Davis, Amos Zereoue, Michael Pittman, William Green, Emmitt Smith, Anthony Thomas, Jerome Bettis....and most importantly....Correll Buckhalter.

Yeah but for the past couple of years he actually showed up to mini camp, and wasn't making demands about a new contract. I don't know, I like Duce, but Jeff Lurie tends to be cheap (except for with Donovan) and does not put up with this kind of behavior. We will see.

Yes it was a good deal for Singman. I had to
get really motivated with some players to get some backs who may pan out. Losing
Lelie was a big move for me, but looking
at my receivers, you will find a good mix of
vets, and youth to work with for a couple of seasons. Grossman may also be a nice pick
up for Steve as well. I did not have the roster space for him, and felt that I would
have to be the one to pay up front for a return on the back end. I think that we are
both comfortable on the trade.

I personally think Reid has had just
about enough of the annual Staley
tantrums. I see him as a good fantasy
number two/three. But I also see him
on the last year of his deal. Even if
they give him a raise, that is not a guarantee that he will return in 2004.
Could easily be dealt before the draft.
Not so sure he has a future in Philly at this time. I have always liked Duce, but
not being an elite back, really hurts his bargaining position IMO.

He gets my 2nd round pick in the 2004 draft and David Akers, while I recieve Marc Bulger and Sebastian Janowkowski.
To conform with roster limits - I am dropping Steve Beurlien. Also, I'm dropping Jeff Blake and picking up Robert Holcombe.
