In my neverending mission to find new and different ways to ingest booze (the red wine enema was a hoot! ), I have been reminded that one can soak various fruits in alchohol.


I am unschooled in this technique however. Do any of you fine young poople have an insight into the various techniques, fruits and liquors that are used in such a venture? I would be muchly appreciative.

Apples? Cherries? Watermellon? Others? How exactly??

apples and pears work the best to hold up for a few days ! Cherries , strawberries , peaches , grapes , even bananas will work but I wouldn't let it sit more than a day without drinking it.

If it's hooch youre trying to make -- get the achohol of choice and buy the fruit you like the best and just put both in a bowl - put a lid on it and chill overnight.

edit to add -- I never liked melons in hooch -- but to each his won I guess.

Depends how strong you want it.
PGA, Vodka, or light rum work well.

Watermelon works great this way. Put a hole in one...pour alcohol in...plug the hole...eat it the next day.

Well hell, I know that much. I believe if you'll recall, I asked about specific liquors that you've tried, certain booze/fruit combinations that you've tried.

I mean, I have to assume that bourbon and pears tastes different than vodka and pears. I'm guessing that there are specific liqours that go better with specific fruits?

Just asking what your experiences have been.

Thanks. The problem I've had with watermelon in the past is distribution. Everybody tells you to do it that way, but then you end up with one end being pure booze and 2/3 of the pineapple not tasting like much at all. I've found more holes evenly distributed works best.

just get a jar of maraschino cherries (sp?) pour out half of the juice and fill it up with everclear... let it sit over night... ready for ingestion the next day...

2. put two half gallons of everclear in
3. one quart of kool-aid
4. any fruit you want peeled and cut into bite size piece not grapes
5. fill with water
6. stir and let sit for a while

this was the easy answer...

or another fun thing.. for the chicks though...


take a two liter of orange soda... empty half of it... add a packet of grape kool aid and a packet of cherry kool aid... fill the riest with vodka...

drink directly out of the two liter...


tastes exactly like sweet tarts...
