Yeah, you will quickly find there is a big difference between knowing how to play chess, and "playing chess." Many of the people on that site do tactical exercises everyday, memorize openings, and practice endgames and whatnot.

Then at a club it took me like 6-7 games to win...

..and it was 12 year old from our 'ghetto'...

My rating on there was about 1500 before I timed out of about 100 games. Should be interesting though. I wanted philly to join... see if he could back up his mouth. Guess we shall never know.

The object is to kill the elite (king). The queen, a woman, is the most powerful piece on the board. Pawn can be promoted to royalty.

You probably play a lot of gambits, sacrificing the pawns for the good of the royalty. And rely heavily on the bishops for morality police.

I'm losing to Edjr.

My current rating (1600) is inflated due to playing a lot of low rated opponents. I consider myself about a 1450 player, which is slightly above average but prone to boneheaded mistakes.

Com'on man just take your time, I saw the way you pinned that other guys' Queen. It was beautiful.

Take your time, take a few hours to make moves. I know it's fun when we go back and forth every 20 minutes or so but just be patient and think things over.
I rushed my last move last nite in a 'friendly' vs. jocstrap and this morning I got an email saying our match was over. I was like WTF...?
He woke me the fock up!!!

This can be a blast man, besides what are we gonna do, play GHB'ers...???

The fewer games you've played, the more wildly your rating swings.

Drag the king over either 2 or 3 towards the rook.

you cannot castle if in check or through check.

if you're doing it against me, you're safe. Just put the king where it is supposed to be after a castle.

I think you can only make it work to the nearest rook. Also, neither the king or the rook has moved yet.

Move the king over to the spot open right beside the rook. The move will happen automatically
