I've been watching Obama on the campaign trail, and I don't see him touting his awesome record that would cause us to want to give him 4 more years. So, I'm gonna open this up for all the Obama supporters to link us up to where he is running on his record.

GO!

ETA: This may be one of those threads the Moron MDC bumps 3 years from now cuz none of you have anything to post.

Obama really inherited a mess for his second term.

Don't like this thread, huh?

I'm sure you would if you had something from the hundreds of Obama campaign speeches where he was running on his record. I guess you don't.

Hey, there is a long time til November, don't give up on him yet.

I don't, because rarely do any of us know what point you're even trying to make. I'm guessing Obama's current view of the GOP is that of piss gnats. At the point he gets even halfway serious against whatever Repubneck he's running against, then this thread might have some relevance.

I guess I'll spell it out for ya.

There are several posters on the bored who think Obama has done a bang-up job as POTUS. Some even say he is a lock for re-election. Given this, I'm wondering why I don't see Obama touting is awesome record.

I could just be missing it when he does, so I figured I would give all those who think he is a lock because of his awesome record a chance to show me where he is running on that awesome record.

If it's your opinion he isn't serious about running yet, and is just holding back, I will concede you are entitled to your opinion. If that's the case I'll await the time he unleashes his awesome record on the unsuspecting Rep nominee.......if and when he gets serious.

I don't think he has done a bang up job as POTUS. I don't feel he's been the train wreck you do. I'd give him a C, maybe C+.

That said, I think he is a lock for re-election, as your candidates blow goats. Hell, even Republicans don't want to vote for them, see the primaries.

You typed almost word for word what I was about to. The Republican party is a complete wreck. Barring anything catastrophic happening in the next year, it's fairly sewn up.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves

You can't help the poor (and middle class) by letting the rich assfock them either, which is why Obama won in the first place.

Conservative icon MaoNixon taxed the rich – our magnificent "job creators" at 70 percent
Conservative icon MaoEisenhower taxed the rich -- pure communist class warfare -- at 91 percent
Kenyin Mooslim komunist america-hater teleprampter guy Obummer taxes Romney – the super-rich - and redistributes his hard-earned wealth at 13.9 percent

NASDAQ and Dow Jones at all-time highs paying huge dividends.... Who knew socialism and "economic uncertainty" would be so completely awesome for corporate America?
Corporate profits at an all-time high... CEOs making 300x the worker compared to 30x and 15x the worker under Comrades MaoNixon and MaoEisenhower, respectively...

Obummer – killer of all foreign bad guys that Republican leaders couldn't kill and master of the most Republican thing America has ever had – deficit spending – is, by far, our greatest Republican president ever...

He's sings with the voice of a 3rd grader with Down's Syndrome and a lisp; if he tried out for American Idol, even Paula Abdul would tell him he stinks.

His hoops ability is limited to taking a long set shot as if he was a shooting guard for the Washington Generals in 1957. Dr Ruth on bender consisting of Ambien, methadone, and box wine can out dribble him, post up on him, and posterize him with a dunk by jumping off his back ala Jim Carrey in The Cable Guy.

Stopped the downward economic freight train that had started under Bush. Prevented the depression that was looking very likely when GWB left office.

Nasdaq and Dow both doing great. Especially compared to the guy before him.

Killed the most dangerous man in the world.

No terrorist attacks on our soil during his first term. (again, as compared to the guy before him)

As others have said, he's a lock. He doesn't even have to campaign. :music_guitarred:

How quickly we forget how scared we were on 9/11 when everyone felt vulnerable. I haven't felt that way once since Obama took office. Especially after he killed the one responsible.

We most certainly would have under McCain.... Republicans are weak on foreign policy...

They just don't seem so weak on foreign policy because they are do utterly inept at domestic policy -- leading us to the verge of the Second Great Depression before Obama came in and saved us

Bush takes budget surplus and turns it into huge deficit by giving tax breaks to rich people and starting 2 wars. Deregulates financial industry, leading to near depression. Obama inherits this mess, ends senseless war in Iraq, kills bin laden and is presiding over a slow but steady and undeniable economic recovery. Why shouldn't he run on his record?

It's simple really:

When a Democrat President is in office when things go right, it cannot possibly be because of him. When things go wrong, it can only be because of him.
When a Republican President is in office when things go right, it can only be because of him. When things go wrong, it cannot possibly be because of him.

Obama doesn't have to run on his record, he has the "Even though I suck the other side still can't find a competent candidate to challenge me" strategy, that worked so well for his predecessor, on his side.
