Don't like this thread, huh?Just when I get close to forgetting about you, you go full sped on us again. I honestly feel for anyone involved in your life if you're even half serious with this stuff. Carry on.

I guess I'll spell it out for ya.I don't, because rarely do any of us know what point you're even trying to make. I'm guessing Obama's current view of the GOP is that of piss gnats. At the point he gets even halfway serious against whatever Repubneck he's running against, then this thread might have some relevance.

I guess I'll spell it out for ya.
There are several posters on the bored who think Obama has done a bang-up job as POTUS. Some even say he is a lock for re-election. Given this, I'm wondering why I don't see Obama touting is awesome record.
I could just be missing it when he does, so I figured I would give all those who think he is a lock because of his awesome record a chance to show me where he is running on that awesome record.
If it's your opinion he isn't serious about running yet, and is just holding back, I will concede you are entitled to your opinion. If that's the case I'll await the time he unleashes his awesome record on the unsuspecting Rep nominee.......if and when he gets serious.
Posted 15 March 2012 - 09:39 PM
I don't think he has done a bang up job as POTUS. I don't feel he's been the train wreck you do. I'd give him a C, maybe C+.
That said, I think he is a lock for re-election, as your candidates blow goats. Hell, even Republicans don't want to vote for them, see the primaries.
Posted 15 March 2012 - 09:47 PM
You typed almost word for word what I was about to. The Republican party is a complete wreck. Barring anything catastrophic happening in the next year, it's fairly sewn up.

Obama is a stone cold mortal lock for re-election - write it down an take a picture. I'll bump this thread midway through his second term.
All my flavors are guranteed to satisfy.

Do you really believe that?
Posted 16 March 2012 - 05:44 AM
So he can't run on his record, in your opinion.

You still wouldn't smarten up enough to figure out how to not click on it and whine about it.I'm so glad there is an official thread! This is a great idea.
Mike, could you please pin this thread and then merge all future ReclinerPilot Obama threads with this one? TIA!!!!!

Noted.

As others have said, he's a lock.

We weren't attacked by Godzilla or aliens either, so add that to his list of accomplishmentsStopped the downward economic freight train that had started under Bush. Prevented the depression that was looking very likely when GWB left office.
Nasdaq and Dow both doing great. Especially compared to the guy before him.
Killed the most dangerous man in the world.
No terrorist attacks on our soil during his first term. (again, as compared to the guy before him)
As others have said, he's a lock. He doesn't even have to campaign.
Bruins > Habs
Spending cuts without any tax hike concessions are immoral

How quickly we forget how scared we were on 9/11 when everyone felt vulnerable. I haven't felt that way once since Obama took office. Especially after he killed the one responsible. We weren't attacked by Godzilla or aliens either, so add that to his list of accomplishments

Bush takes budget surplus and turns it into huge deficit by giving tax breaks to rich people and starting 2 wars. Deregulates financial industry, leading to near depression. Obama inherits this mess, ends senseless war in Iraq, kills bin laden and is presiding over a slow but steady and undeniable economic recovery. Why shouldn't he run on his record?
Posted 16 March 2012 - 08:18 AM
This is very good for me buy terrible for the country. Keep up the fight comrade!

Obama doesn't have to run on his record, he has the "Even though I suck the other side still can't find a competent candidate to challenge me" strategy, that worked so well for his predecessor, on his side.
Posted 16 March 2012 - 08:24 AM
I've been watching Obama on the campaign trail, and I don't see him touting his awesome record that would cause us to want to give him 4 more years. So, I'm gonna open this up for all the Obama supporters to link us up to where he is running on his record.
