I think Obama has given us change, not huge change but change, and did so with the back drop of the terrible mess he was handed plus an opposition that has vowed to make him fail, or at least appear to fail, with the goal of making him a one-term president.

I'm kind of on the fence about voting for Obummer or a 3rd party candidate. For the first time I can remember, I'm considering not even showing up to vote. That's an option too.

Obummer has been a slight disappointment to me, mostly because I don't like his healthcare plan and he continued the Bush tax cuts and a lot of his policies on rendition and other things that I consider executive overreach. On the plus side his foreign policy has been much better and I don't think many presidents could've done much better on the economy.

If the GOP had a solid option I'd vote for him. The thing is though, Romney's policies are virtually identical to the Bush-era policies that got us into this mess. He wants even more tax cuts, which more than anything exploded the debt. And he will take a much harder line stance on Iran and is more likely to get us involved in another foreign nation-building excersion. I seriously can't think of one area where Mitt could be superior to Obummer as president.

The irony is that I registered Republican in large part to vote for Romney, back when I thought he was a moderate. Now I realize Romney isn't a moderate, or a liberal, or a conservative. He's a chameleon who has no core values or beliefs and says anything, no matter how inane or demonstrably false, for votes. His whole line of attack on the president has been retarded. Blaming him for gas prices ... really? Really?

This may be the year I throw my vote away on the Libertarian party or something.

McCartney wrote and sang the lead vocals on this song which asks if a woman will still be with him when he got older, when he was 64 years old. On May 17, 2006, Paul and his then wife, Heather Mills, separated, finalizing the divorce in 2008. McCartney turned 64 on June 18, 2006, so the answer to his musical question with regards to Mills, would be no.

i am excited to vote for romney and i am looking forward to having someone in the office that respects the office and the job. zero could gain in popularity, which is his ultimate goal, if he would change horses in the stream and start working toward policies that promote recovery. a vote for obama is a vote for continued recession and continued division of americans. you can spin it any way you choose and even throw the bush word in there, but a vote for obama is a vote for the continued destruction of this economy. he's not one of us. he's not a team player and he certainly is not on our team.

there are some outstanding conservatives in the senate and congress that have options and are willing to work at their jobs to help get this going again. if there is even one democrat that has any positive ideas that don't increase the debt, i have not heard his or her name from any media source. instead of bringing realistic solutions, the dems are bent on disparaging those that do. they are hanging all of their collective hats on this one healthcare debacle and they've neglected americans along the way.

and....all the old people need to go...from both sides of the aisle. if you're over 70, get out of the way. you're from a different time and have lost most of your mind. gotta get out now, we're busy. it's gonna take 10 years to get out from under zero's mess, and that's if we could get rid of him this year.

Thanks for the response - while I don't agree with parts of what you say, I appreciate where you're coming from.

My only quibble is that we are not in a recession, and haven't been for some time.
