What's Peyton Manning's Value This Year?

Someone in every draft will probably reach for him on name value. What's his reach value and real value? Is he worth the reach?
Thoughts?

Reports are that he's lost some deep ball velocity. No surprise as he admits he's still in recovery.

Im a big Peyton fan but I wouldnt want to draft him as my QB1
I put him somwhere in the 8-15 QB off the board. depending on pre-season action

Remember, the Colts under Manning had double digit rushing touchdowns EVERY season except 2011. That means goal line opportunities for Denver running backs. I'm buying the running backs and will let someone else take Manning. Maybe I'd take Tamme in a PPR league too

I am personally more excited about the value of Willis McGahee. He's going to be absolute steal in this draft. Regardless of Mannings passing ability, his play calling at the LOS and ability to audible protection or blocking schemes has always been his strong suit. Joel Dreesen was brought in for blocking purposes at the tight end spot as well and I could easily see two TE sets a majority of the time.

You a Denver homer?
Any chance that turd Moreno does anything this year? He's sitting on my dynasty bench just sucking... I'd like to get SOMETHING out of the MFer.
Mark Ingram
Michael LeShoure
Moreno
Tolbert
What a vortex of suck my RB's are.

Ouch... That's a bummer, man.
Hopefully you get something out of Ingram this season.

I'm an Eagles fan. Always have been. I feel by the time training camp rolls around some will fall in love with the rookie the Broncos drafted at running back. I think Moreno is going to be cut IMHO. McGahee is the starter until he's hurt. And with a Manning led offense(either Manning) I want the running back

So who would you rather have, McGahee or Hillman? With Peyton calling the shots & all his audibles, it might take some time for the rookie to learn the nuances. Peyton will probably trust McGahee more when it comes to blitz pickups so this should bode well for his playing time barring an injury to the veteran runner.
Plus I think Hillman will receive some draft buzz so McGahee might become a great value later in the summer. Shhhhh....

I think there will be a "draft buzz" surrounding Hillman because people don't trust McGahee or Moreno and are always looking to out-smart the competition. Look, Hillman was a good player at SDSU (eclipsed most, if not all, of Marshall Faulk's records if I'm not mistaken) but he isn't going to get the majority of touches in this offense. He won't be a Darren Sproles type change of pace player either. I see him playing in clear passing downs until he can completely refine his pass blocking abilities. He was good, but not great, at pass protection in college and in a Peyton Manning offense whomever is back there needs to block, chip, or take out any incoming assignment. Another problem is that he isn't EXPLOSIVE. He can get to the 2nd level and get some good yardage on runs, but I wouldn't expect him to outrun a defense on a run up the gut the way say ADP can. Having said that, I DO see him out performing Moreno once the pads come on in a couple months. Should be an interesting player to track through camp, but keep him on your watch list, not draft list.

As for Hillman.... People tend to forget John Fox LOVES his veterans. Hillman will not get the opportunity unless injuries hit every running back over the age of 30 on that roster. lol Hillman will make a great 3rd down back, but in the recent redraft mock drafts I've seen, people are taking him in the late middle rounds. That is a wasted pick. Fox will not allow a rookie to come in and take carries from McGahee unless McGahee loses a leg on the way to the stadium. Even then, Fox may force McGahee to hop.
