Happy Father's Day to all of you dads who, like me, haven't killed their children... yet.

Wife asked if I wanted to go somewhere, I said no -- mellow day, hang by the pool, watch some Open, nice dinner at home.

Wife also said that she will have the kids cut the grass. Nobody but me has ever used the mower; this should be fun.

I'm a stepdad too and my hat's off to you my friend - it's a tough job and takes years of hard work. I am sure you'll develop a great relationship with the stepdaughter in time.

It really does get better. It's not easy and there are times it's hard to be the adult but she will come to respect and love you, trust me. Feel free to vent anytime.

I got an early father's day present yesterday.

My daughter's first tourney game. They usually last 4 innings due to the 75 min time limit. In 92 degree heat, this one went 7 innings due to both pitchers throwing lasers. It's 3-3 in the bottom of the 7th. I watch our 1st 2 girls watch 3 straight strikes fly by and I'm about to implode. I walk up to my daughter and say "Bailey, I don't mind if you strike out on 3 straight pitches, but you better swing the damn bat". 2nd pitch..bomb over the left fielders head for triple. Next batter (our best player) lines one to left for the win. With my blood sugar issues and the heat, I seriously almost stroked out from screaming like a 10 year old girl.

Flew my son and his girlfriend in from Vegas for two weeks. Fist time to see him since I flew the family out there for Christmas.

Wife and kids gave me one of these last night.

My kids team lost in the first round but it gave them a sense of accomplishment just getting there.

I bet. All 12 teams make the tourney in my daughter's 10under league, so losing in the 1st round would have been a bummer.

Two times without protection = two awesome kids.

Big fire in the backyard last night, set up the two tents, the old one and my new palatial Field and Stream two room tent, made them sleep in the old one.

Life is pretty good.

Awesome!!

My son's baseball team ( a top 6-8 ranked 12U AAA team in SC by USSSA) beat a Majors team this morning, and then topped it off by playing a top 10 NATIONALLY ranked ranked 12U Majors team and only lost 13-6. Thats pretty awesome in my book. Course i missed every bit of it. Kid executed a perfect bunt on a suicide squeeze and turned an unassisted double play at first with the bases loaded up by 2 in the bottom of the last inning, along with some other highlights. His day was somewhere between "terrible" (his assessment) and "spectacular" (Mom's assessment)
Come on down to the hotel, baby. I can be what you want me to be. You can choke on your own medication, and i can watch myself on tv. Shut your mouth you big f*cking baby. I cant be what you want me to be. Go on choke on your own medication. I can tell you a lie you'll believe, yeah yeah.

It's amazing how much more advanced mentally the boys are over the girls. They show up an hour early, take a full batting practice and position drills and sprint in and out of the dugout. Most of my girls show up about 10 minutes prior to the game and generally act like buffoons in the dugout. It's maddening.

My son (15 months), my dad, and myself all spent the day together. Went swimming in the morning followed by lunch and then naps (my son slept in my dads arms as he slept on the couch) followed by grilling some burgers/brats up for dinner. Then once dad left and the kid was asleep my wife (34B/C)gave me my "present". Good night all around.
