Keep two players

this is 12 team non ppr league.
all tds are 6 pts.
I have the last pick in rd one (#12) and the first pick in rd two (#13).
we can only keep two players and you lose the pick of the rd you drafted them in. any player that was drafted in the 1st rd of the previous year cannot be kept. if you keep a previously kept player the rd is then cut in half.
here are my choices:
DMC: lose a 4th rd, which will be the 36th pick or lower.
Stafford: lose a 9th rd
Gronk: lose a 11th rd
I think the obvious would to let DMC go but all the big name QBs are returning into the draft pool and i might have a shot at one of them with my 1st/2nd pick, otherwise i'll have to wait until my 35th pick to grab one. what would you do?
i'm the returning champ but i won due to drafting a few sleepers last year in the late rounds.
PS: first post but i've been playing fantasy football since '97!

My gut says I'd keep Stafford and Gronkowski.
Although knowing who else is likely being kept could change my decision.
i went through the rosters and made a pretty good guess as to which top players will be in the draft pool:
QB:
Rodgers
Brees
Romo
Ryan
Rivers
RB:
CJ2
Rice
MJD
Matthews
Richardson
Turner
SJAX
Bradshaw
Gore
WR:
CJ
AJ
White
Fitz
Wallace
Jennings
TE:
everyone but Graham and Gronk (if I elect to keep him)

Based on value, I think you HAVE to keep Gronk and Stafford. They both have 2nd round ADP's (early 3rd at worst for Stafford) and you are keeping them in the 11th and 9th rounds. DMC is a late 1st/early 2nd rounder you get in the 4th. Also good value, but not as good as Stafford and Gronk in my opinion. Rodgers and Brees will get drafted before your pick, and I think it's a pretty big dropoff from Stafford to Romo/Ryan/Rivers. I'd just hope DMC or Richardson somehow fall to you at pick 12 and pair them with SJax. At worst maybe you grab SJax and a WR and load up on RB's later.
thanks and that's exactly what i'm thinking. i've owned DMC is so many leagues, even from a keeper league where we have a rookie college draft...but somehow i know the year you don't own him will be the season he'll finally stay healthy.

McFadden is a steal as a 4th rounder. I understand Gronk is a bigger steal but RB is the more important position.
- NY Jets go 13-3 and win the AFC east (wrong)
- Sanchez and Tebow makes the AFC ProBowl roster (wrong)
- No rookie QBs will finish in the top 15 @ the QB position using FFToday scoring (way wrong)
- NE Patriots will not make playoffs (wrong)
edit: Oh well. Not too good. I'll try harder next year!
J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets!

non ppr im actually going to say McFadden and Stafford.

Stafford is a given. My only concern with keeping Gronk over DMC is that a quality RB1 may not be available at the #12 pick. I would hate to have to draft AD as a RB1 this year.

Is McFadden really much safer than AD, Charles, or any of the potential holdout RB's (Forte, MJD)? McFadden has played 13, 12, 13, and 7 games in his first 4 NFL seasons. Has the talent/upside to be the #1 overall fantasy RB if healthy. But I'll believe it when I see it.

and i believe that will be the question everyone who's drafting at the bottom of the 1st rd will be wrestling with.
often injured DMC > recovering AD & Charles?
IMO, owners are usually always enamored with upside...and i think the overall consensus of upside here is DMC staying healthy since the performance of a RB coming off an ACL injury is well documented.
